so i take that as being mcvay making adjustments. players also getting into the rhythm of the game.

but overall you also add in the fact that the oline is still jelling.

goff is still adjusting to nfl defenses adjusting to him.

gurley has slowed down a bit.

and on top of that i still believe that gurley’s usage will increase as we get toward the end of the season. he’s still pretty durn good although maybe not as explosive as he once was.

it’s just a lot of things happening at once. they’ll get better. how much better is the question i guess.

ooh. but that defense. that defense is pretty durn good.

well. he no longer looks like the guy who could rip off 50+ yarders at any moment.

but i do suspect his touches will start to increase when we get into the second half of the season.

watching the game for the first time right now.

he isn’t that far off. goff that is.

some bad decisions by him. some dropped passes.

i think this season is gonna be a period of growing up for goff.

i do expect him to finish in the top third in passer rating though this year. if he doesn’t, i think there’d be legitimate reason to be worried.

ehh. i’m not worried yet. like i’ve said. qbs typically regress around this stage of their development. statistically that is.

defenses have had time to study them and probe them for weaknesses. qbs then have to adjust.

i believe goff will.

unless you’re just a preternatural talent like a mahomes.

this should be a big test for the rams offense. show that the rust has been knocked off and answer any doubt that the league may have caught up to them.

i think the chargers go back to san diego at some point.

the raiders now have their stadium in vegas. so the possibility of them moving back to la is very low at this point.

it just doesn’t make sense for the chargers to be in los angeles. they never wanted to be here in the first place.

i think that’s the main problem.

fisher knew how to pick players that’s for sure.

well. goff is no mahomes. he’s not some transcendent talent who can rise above his surroundings and still dominate.

but the rams would have been foolish not to extend him.

there’s only a handful of qbs at this point that i’d take over goff.

and as far as the kupp effect every qb has that one guy they rely on. hopefully as goff matures he will be not so reliant on any one guy.
