InvaderRamModeratoryeah it sucks. such a good quarterback but so many elements out of his control.
and on top of that he couldn’t stay healthy for more than one season in a row. going all the way back to 2008.
but it was clear he had ability which makes it that much more frustrating.
InvaderRamModeratorthe dline has been very good. but more hype than actual substance. they need to be better what with all the draft capital that’s been spent in that area. just too inconsistent for me so far.
InvaderRamModeratorthis defense at some point has to be more consistent. as much as people talk about how impressive this defense is, they finished in the bottom half of the rankings in total defense.
i want a top 5 defense. anything less i’d say is a failure.
InvaderRamModeratoryeah. i don’t think they keep jenkins or johnson. they still have gaines, but it’d be wise to draft a defensive back or two this year.
InvaderRamModeratoreven the great qbs had dips in performance at the start of their career.
it was probably a combination of things. bad luck, injuries, and defenses had some film on him.
it then comes down to how foles adjusts.
i don’t think he was as good as 2013 suggests, but he isn’t as bad as 2014 either. he’s still young and can get better.
InvaderRamModeratori think they need at least 3 offensive linemen. i’d prefer they at least re-sign joe barksdale and draft one. that leaves one more.
but i also think they got a real shot at one of amari cooper or kevin white. i’m not sure that’s an opportunity i’d want the rams to pass up. if i was snisher, i’d wait to see if i could get either of those two. if not, i’m trading back and picking the best olineman available.
i’d even consider defensive back if the right one was available.
InvaderRamModeratorif i was fisher, i’d still look into bringing in another wide receiver with that first rounder. my preference would be amari cooper if he’s available there.
InvaderRamModeratorI read, that Suh said, that he had more talent than he did.
“I haven’t said this a lot or to many people, more or less, but Nick is more athletically gifted than me, and he has an opportunity to be better than me, and that’s what I want to see out of him,” Suh said Wednesday, according to Ashley Dunkak of CBS Detroit.

InvaderRamModeratori bet chris long was one of the guys who wasn’t happy. he’s pretty good friends with sam.
to jim it probably sucks having to cover a team that most likely won’t be there next season. and then on top of that they make him look a little foolish.
InvaderRamModeratorhaha! i’m way ahead of ya, ag!
InvaderRamModeratorbrett hundley in the second round.
InvaderRamModeratori think the chances of taking mariota are increasing by the day.

InvaderRamModeratorwell. this move will either make chip look like a genius or it will get him fired.

Chip basically said the personnel around Bradford in St. Louis was to blame for his struggles. Hard to argue really.NFL on ESPN @ESPNNFL 19m19 minutes ago
Eagles coach Chip Kelly says he’s already been offered a 1st-round pick this morning for newly acquired QB Sam Bradford.Jason La Canfora @JasonLaCanfora 18m18 minutes ago
If Kelly was offered a 1st for Bradford, my guess is it has Browns written all over it. And if Kelly wanted Mariota he’d have taken it…if it was the browns who offered a first rounder it says a lot about how dumb the browns organization is.
InvaderRamModeratorbradford is only better than foles if he actually plays.
my expectation is that bradford doesn’t even start the season.
InvaderRamModeratormaybe. but they also signed wells and long. so they could also be wrong about this. like i said. i’m not disappointed. but i’m not overly thrilled either. it was a need and it was filled.
InvaderRamModeratori’m not disappointed although i always wonder if the idea of kendricks was always more appealing than the actual production.
we’ll see. maybe the shackles will be taken off this year.

InvaderRamModeratoryeah. it all comes down to the oline and the running game on offense. i like tre mason. i think he can be at least very good. if they can find a complement to mason and if they can rebuild that oline, the offense should be fine.
the defense has been inconsistent. hopefully, they can put it all together this year. i think they should add another cornerback.
InvaderRamModeratori just want to say that foles has huge hands.
1 for nick.

InvaderRamModeratoranother consideration is that defenses started to get a book on foles. the question would then be can foles make adjustments to counteract that?

plus. big hands!!! haha!
It’s true that from 2013 and 2014, the Eagles went from 27th in passing attempts to 5th. How Foles fits into that will require a little math. Which I’ll do, but later.
ok. somebody needs to get on this asap. the suspense is killing me.

InvaderRamModeratori’d say this is the year that jones has to somehow crack the starting oline, or he’s pretty much just a career backup.

InvaderRamModeratorwell. yeah. i think it’s the right move. now we gotta find a way and replace them.
InvaderRamModeratorso which qbs in this draft came from a pro-style offense?
InvaderRamModeratori’d rather the rams not sign britt or barksdale and go after randall cobb. then draft offensive line.
InvaderRamModeratorfrom laram’s post it seems very unlikely stan would want to buy the raiders. doesn’t sound like the raiders would be very corporate sponsor friendly. and it sounds like the raiders will be staying in oakland anyway.
i could see stan selling the team and buying the broncos. i think in that case the rams would be staying in st louis.
InvaderRamModeratorwell. they’ve switched coordinators every year since fisher has been head coach.
this year will represent the first year that they’ve had the same coordinator. i think that makes a difference.
i think the following also has to happen.
alec ogletree has to stay in shape. he’s got to be on top of it. he reported to camp out of shape and it showed. once he worked himself back into playing shape, his play predictably improved.
they have to figure out what they want out of michael brockers. he lost 20 pounds prior to the 2014 season, and i believe his play suffered for it. get him back to his ideal playing weight.
they have to find another corner to replace jenkins. i think what laram said is true. the guy gambles too much. getting a corner in the draft would be good. maybe they get waynes or kevin johnson.
