InvaderRamModeratorsomeone correct me if i’m wrong but rookie sack leaders. verse and fiske are 1 and 2.
nfl rookie int leaders. mccollough number 1 and kinchens number 3.
and speights looked good today.
InvaderRamModeratorugly. so many mistakes. but dline played so well. especially fiske. and way to stuff them at the line in ot. defense gets a to on the blocked punt. int return for td. tons of sacks. wow.
and that counts as a game winning drive for stafford?
puka has to keep his head better. hurt the team today. i’m sure he knows and will learn from this.
but yeah. so many mistakes from both teams, but it’s a win.
InvaderRamModeratorGeez, have you guyz watched the Jared Verse mic-d up vid. Quite the trash talker. He dont like the Vikings. Somewhere Deacon is smiling.
it woulda been fun to see verse and donald playing together.
also did anyone see puka’s post game interview? fun stuff. he and verse give this team some personality. definitely fan favorites.
InvaderRamModeratorverse early favorite for droy. turner last year third place finish. nacua runner up oroy last year. some good drafting by the rams.
InvaderRamModeratorWendell not only fields effective units, he finds the players too (OL coaches have huge input in who gets signed or drafted to the unit).
yeah. i wouldn’t necessarily say he makes something out of nothing. the rams and wendell are finding the right guys too.
just an amazing job he’s doing. i thought injuries would derail this team. and they have. but the rams might still be able to get out of this and make a run? i don’t know but if they do, significant credit will have to be given to wendell.
InvaderRamModeratorThe season is reborn, I believe.
yes.
if verse starts finishing more plays he’ll be something else.
nacua and kupp. what a difference.
October 24, 2024 at 1:40 pm in reply to: Kupp on the block, apparently + Titans trade E.Jones to Seattle #152736
InvaderRamModeratorDon’t give him away, like they did Ernest Jones.
Bill Barnwell@billbarnwellOdd one. Jones was available for a swap of Day 3 picks at the end of camp, but maybe Rams didn’t want to trade him in division. Seahawks basically paying more draft capital for that and for the Titans to eat the rest of Baker’s base salary (~$1.2m)?…me (@moi.com):.Titans traded a starter to a team that was trying to pry him away. Rams traded an injury recovering player everyone knew they were trying to unload. Titans proved Jones could still play, and Seattle pursued him. The 2 situations were just different..Maybe the story here is that Seattle was willing to overpay.yeah. and don’t expect much for kupp.
i mean i’ll be disappointed if they trade him, but if they can save cap space, it might not be a bad idea. if no cap space can be saved, then keep him.
InvaderRamModeratorwell that was ugly. defense played well. turnovers. not allowing a td. offense was bad. real bad. but no starting wrs. is it two rookies they’re playing on the oline? so. you know. what can you do? hopefully kupp back soon. hopefully nacua not too long after.

InvaderRam.
InvaderRamModeratori know, but they haven’t extended him yet, so it makes me worried.
InvaderRamModeratori keep saying this, but i hope they find a way to keep stafford.
InvaderRamModeratori thought turner was impressive. williams, whittington, kyren williams…
but some bad errors. kyren fumble. stafford interception. and the offense is too injured to overcome errors.
it’s gonna be a long season.
InvaderRamModeratorjared verse just needs to finish plays. missed the last game but good to see fiske had a breakout game. but defense as a whole has too many flaws.
and the offense is too injured to carry the defense.
InvaderRamModeratorvery encouraging stats on the oline and dline.
InvaderRamModeratori missed almost the entire game. but was boxscore watching it on my phone. what a comeback though. how many fourth quarter comebacks is that for stafford now?
InvaderRamModeratorI think a less mobile QB might have been in trouble yesterday.
yeah. so many times he was able to get out of pressure with his feet and either scramble or buy some extra time for a pass.
InvaderRamModeratoroline corps is banged up. wr corps is down. secondary.
it’s just crazy.
InvaderRamModeratorinjuries suck. i don’t know much about football but seeing mcclendon get abused on the left side was painful to watch.
i was naive to think the defense would be ok without donald. and i think the defense misses ernest jones too.
InvaderRamModeratorstill too early to tell but so encouraged to read that about jared. he did show up during the game a lot. glad to see tangible stats that prove it.
InvaderRamModeratorwhat do people think of jared verse?
and fiske? and limmer?
seems verse did particularly well no?
InvaderRamModeratorwell. i guess noteboom and durant are two key players for the next two games. possibly longer for durant.
InvaderRamModeratorso far in his career McV has never developed a young qb.
this and winning another superbowl are the next benchmarks for mcvay as a head coach.
InvaderRamModeratorthat stat would be more informative if it showed what percentage of plays that group of stafford, williams, kupp, and nacua played together rather than just a total.
InvaderRamModeratori’m gonna go out on a limb and predict that limmer is a starter by the end of the season with jackson being a question mark in terms of being able to stay healthy.
InvaderRamModeratori think he was pulling our leg.
InvaderRamModeratornot sure if kupp is pulling our leg but apparently he’s handling opening kickoff against the lions. pretty sure this is a joke but with new kickoff rules who knows?

InvaderRamModeratorBiggest concern: After Aaron Donald’s retirement, the Rams will be heavily dependent on their young defense, led by new coordinator Chris Shula. Los Angeles has used draft capital to build up the unit the past two years, but the Rams will need to see continued growth from second-year players DE Kobie Turner and LB Byron Young. The unit won’t have the benefit of having Donald, who was double-teamed on a league-high 311 pass-rush plays last season, to take off pressure. — Barshop
1. verse
2. young
3. turner
4. white
5. williams
6. curl
7. fiske
either first or second year players or a big unknown or a new signing. i’m not sure i’ve ever seen such a huge turnover on a defense in this short a time.
InvaderRamModeratorRicky Pearsall was released from the hospital yesterday, and didn’t need surgery for his injury. I don’t know how long it takes to recover from a bullet wound, but I guess it didn’t hit any organs, so no lasting damage. I would think he would be able to play this season at some point, although he was already behind because he missed a lot of camp due to injuries. Not a great start to his career, but at least the dude is alive and reasonably well, considering. Jeez.
that had to be scary. glad to hear no surgery was needed.
InvaderRamModeratorThe Rams are hiring Scott Frost, per team and league sources. He will help with a variety of roles on the staff (including special teams where they have a vacancy). He spent some time with the Rams in OTAs and training camp. This has been in the works for a few days.

InvaderRamModeratoronly so many balls to go around, but i am really excited about what parkinson and allen can contribute.
both young. both have untapped potential. so yeah. very promising.
excited to see the secondary. all of them. really rooting for white.
InvaderRamModeratorby the end of the season the rams could have 4 rookies starting on defense. and another two in their sophomore seasons.
hopefully, that means good things for the defense.
