i’m just not sure i like a CB at 26. unless they trade up. or trade down. or someone falls. but i definitely don’t want them to reach. i’d prefer they trade up. i don’t want just a solid corner. i want a superstar if they draft one. but i’m not sure i see one. travis hunter probably but they’d have to give up a lot to get him. otherwise i prefer a fa signing.
but what do i know?

can’t remember if there was a single defining run in that game, but faulk against philadelphia was something to behold. and instrumental in getting the rams to the superbowl. woulda meant more if the rams won the entire thing, but that was a great performance.
InvaderRamModeratori got the sense this was gonna happen about midway through the season. it just looked like the todd gurley situation all over again.
the kupp nacua duo didn’t even get off the ground. it sucked. would have been good to see, and i think they coulda made it work.
it’ll be interesting to see what the rams do in the draft. do they try to complement nacua and adams with a third receiver and try to recreate the woods, kupp, obj trio? that’d be wild.
i think kupp is cooked. or at least the rams think he is.

but he’s also been much healthier and more productive.
i’m also reading good things about his work ethic. so hopefully he’s got two more productive years in him. it wouldn’t be unprecedented. but at the same time, there’s lots of productive receivers who fell off in their thirties.
InvaderRamModeratorthe receiving performances of receivers older than 32 is a little shaky. i’m assuming the rams did their due diligence on adams.
hopefully he takes care of his body.
InvaderRamModeratorI hope that this works out better than the Allen Robinson signing.
It will be interesting to see how this impacts the Rams approach to the draft. I feel like this increases the likelihood that the Rams draft a corner with their first pick. Who knows though, it’s tough to predict who is going to be available so late in the first round. Maybe a good TE is still there. I kind of hope that some team is eager to move up from the second round and call the Rams. It would be nice to pick up some more picks.
he has five consecutive seasons with 1000 yards or more. not many games missed. but older than robinson was when he was signed. i think it’s a good signing.
if they want one of the top tight ends, they’re gonna have to trade up.
InvaderRamModeratormy personal preference is for a tight end. mcvay has talked about getting more versatile. i trust that they’ll make the right choice. if the rams don’t bring bb iii back, i’d even be fine if they drafted a defensive tackle.
InvaderRamModeratorat this point i’d say rams should stay in the first round and pick best available tight end or cornerback. if one isn’t available at that point then trade back.

InvaderRamModeratora flawed team for sure. and i love williams, but his ball security issues drive me crazy. still had a chance at the end though. was there a roughing the passer penalty at the end there? that would have been tough to call there. puka hung in tough and the conditions were bad. coop played like a tough vet. defense was awesome. lots to build on. limmer seemingly whiffed in that block that led to the stafford sack at the end.
they need a corner, an offensive tackle, and another receiver. another defensive lineman.

Rams rookie Jared Verse finished the season with a True Pressure Rate of 52.5. Only Chris Jones and Myles Garrett were higher. His 6.4 snaps per pressure led the NFL.Verse had 34 high quality pressures which also trailed just Garrett and Jones. His 13.2 snaps per high quality pressure ranked 7th.
he just needs to start converting more of those pressures into sacks.

InvaderRamModeratori didn’t know where to post this and not sure how accurate it is, but the rams supposedly faced the strongest combination of offensive and defensive units of any team in the playoffs.
Is this chart accurate? Saw it on X, in a non-Rams post.

InvaderRamModeratorif the rams win another superbowl in the next four years, i think we’ll all look at this year’s draft and the year prior as the catalyst. they have to be ranked among the better drafts in the past twenty years.
How did Kyren Williams not make the Pro Bowl?
my guess is williams’ lack of impact in the receiving game? although i gotta say that the rams winning the division and only having one pro bowler is ridiculous.
