demoff said in the latest interview that they’re mulling it over.

seems hard to bring grass in considering the stadium will be built underground.

they don’t yet know if they’ll be using turf or grass for the new stadium.

i assumed they were using turf.

do i want to see the rams on hard knocks? i’d lean towards no. don’t think it’d be that interesting anyway. and if they were on, i’d be too curious not to watch it.

wherever the rams play, it’s gonna be a whole helluva lot of fun watching guys like gurley and donald develop over the years.

I heard from a local media person on a radio show that Shaw added the “top tier” clause as almost a last-second addendum and pretty much expected it to be rejected, and he was surprised when it was accepted.

    Well if thats true..just…Wow.

Someone should write a book about
    the clause. Or ‘Claws”

Other than the “Tackle” I’d say
    the “Clause” was the biggest
    event in St.Louis Rams history.

they really should make a documentary about this. starting from the move in 1995 to the move back in 2016.

rams before the move were valued at 930 million in 2014. after this move they are now valued at 2.9 billion dollars. cowboys are first at 4.0 billion.

i do worry that these rams will not do well with all the extra pressure that comes with moving to the second largest media market in the states.

i don’t know about the inglewood stadium, but staples center is the #1 sports venue in the united states. earns $345 million a year in revenue as of 2014.

I believe he left it behind,
up the ass of St. Louis.

True. But this is Still Amerika.

In this land we brag about our conquests.
I would think the Kronk-atorium would
have a giant statue of a golden horn
    up the ass of St.Louis.

And if you dont want that kind of statue
maybe you should just go back to
green bay or some other socialist country.

i do wonder if they’ll have statues of rams legends.

ya know. like deacon jones, merlin olsen…

I notice you didn’t mention a Massey statue. I’ll assume it was implied…

i was going to add massey but i fear that kroenke will eliminate any remaining evidence of the st louis rams.

if you go on the welcomehomerams.com website you’ll notice they omit the st louis years from the history. i realize it’s a welcome la rams but still. they should find some way to recognize those guys at some point.

i do think parker will be good but no way i pick him over gurley.

the more and more i think about it the rams should just wait until the later rounds and pick up another qb. i want dak prescott.

de or wr in the first round.

so i clicked on the website, and they got this video there. starts out with a deacon jones to aaron donald to eric dickerson to todd gurley montage.

i just looked it up. they’re not that far apart. less than 10 miles. but i did go to a rams chargers preseason game awhile back. traffic was absolutely awful.

you’re right. i believe the chargers want a stadium in the gaslamp district which is right where the padres stadium is. lots of bars and restaurants. my guess is spanos feels it will make for a better fan experience and draw more crowds. san diego wants to build where the old stadium is which is more on the outskirts.

    i don’t care so much.

i just don’t know that it would make much sense for spanos to move there.

it’d make much more sense for the raiders to move there but it doesn’t sound like the league really wants them there.

and if you remove hollywood and the smog and the traffic and the grime i don’t know where else you could go to get great mexican, soul food, korean, persian, ethiopian, jewish deli, peruvian, japanese, chinese food within a 20 mile radius.

extremely diverse city albeit very segregated too. but i love it.

Portland Maine (where I does reside) is a kind of restaurant mecca. (I don’t know if you;ve heard that but it’s true). We have mexican, korean, ethiopian, jewish deli, japanese, thai, and chinese within a smaller radius.

I don’t think we have persian though. Just indian. No soul food.

I will say this though. They don’t do mexican right up here. They don’t seem to quite get it, OR they turn it into artsy nouveau variants.

One of the things I miss about living in southern cal is real honest mom and pop mexican.

    Oh well.

ooh. i forgot salvadoran food as well.

the mom and pop shops here go for miles. it’s great. but yeah. i also understand la is not for everyone.

maybe they could just screw the inglewood plans and play at the coliseum and provide affordable tickets to all rams fans?

Well, i’m not sure i understand humans.
Why would humans ‘want’ to live in LA ?
The smog? The traffic? The murder rate?
    The earth quakes?

    What?

No matter where you are in LA, you are within a mile of a drive through burger place, a shopping mall, and a cineplex. And drive time is less than an hour.

well if you’re talking about murder rate, st louis has los angeles beat. probably not true of west virginia.

if i had to guess kroenke has been thinking about this since he took the option to buy the rams in 2010.

if i remember correctly, khan put in a bid and kroenke had the right to match or stay minority owner?

it’s at that point that kroenke weighed his options and decided the only way he was going to buy the rams outright was if he could move them to la and increase the value of the franchise. wouldn’t be surprised either if goodell and jones gave him assurances that the road to la would be plenty greased for kroenke’s rams.

he’s better off staying in san diego just to keep another team from moving in. he’ll then have the san diego market as well as part of the orange county market. he’d be dumb to move in with stan.

yeah. i remember reading at the time that the conversation had come up but no concerns were raised at the time.

as far as cost of living. yes it’s way more expensive and it continues to get worse by the year.
