that’s a nice graphic there. the only weakness he has is tds. my guess is he has to improve in the red zone. maybe davante adams can give him some pointers.

    Bucky Brooks@BuckyBrooks
What does it Philip Rivers’ success after a 5-year layoff say about the league’s QB development process? How can a 44-year old throw for nearly 300 yards after sitting on the couch when so many young QBs struggle? Sounds like an off-season project for NFL front offices..

also why i hope stafford remains with the rams until his 40s.

At age 37, Stafford leads the NFL in passing yards (4,179), touchdown passes (40) and passer rating (112.1) for the 11-4 Rams.

yeah. if he can lead in all three categories at the end of the season, then yes, he could win mvp without winning the division. that would be a stratosphere few qbs have ever achieved.

i still prefer they win the division of course for postseason purposes.

just got this off of reddit.

    Stats for the Week
    byu/Ready-Lengthiness220 inLosAngelesRams

Atlanta: 2nd Highest blitz percentage in the league.

Matt Stafford: 26 TDs vs the blitz. Next closest……..

Caleb Willaims: 14 TDs vs the blitz.

Kirk Cousins: 84 rating with a clean pocket. 54 with pressure.

Rams have 3rd highest pressure rate with lowest rate of blitz.

Rams by 17. Just tackle Bijan FFS.

I would be two dozen doughnuts that Raheem Morris is scheming up some special blitzes for that dude in this game.

if for no other reason than to save face.

a lot will depend on what happens with ferguson (who i still believe in) and the first round pick this year.

i’m still holding out hope that the rams can win the division.

both for stafford’s chances at winning mvp and the rams’ chances at winning the superbowl.

i could see maye winning mvp if the rams don’t win the division.

i’d like for him to get it, but some people have questioned if an mvp award would be handed to a guy whose team finishes second or third in their division. i don’t know that that’s happened before or not.

    i’m rooting for him though.

Also, what happens when you hit the player going for the ball after the whistle? Penalty?

yeah. in the video i posted. the guy explains it really well. if a rams player had dove at the seahawks player, most likely a penalty is called on the rams. the play was dead. if players had acted as if it was still a live ball even after the whistle then it’s a different story. at best they should have replayed the down. and the seahawks still may have scored. just a very weird play.

i’m not so upset about it. more upset about the ferguson td that was cancelled by a non-penalty. more upset about the punt return for a td which was not the refs fault. more upset by all the big plays the rams defense gave up.

if adams is still out, i’d like to see mcvay get ferguson more involved. no other skill position player on the team has his size/speed combo.

But, he also only has 9 catches on 21 targets. That gives him the lowest catch % on the whole team (42.9%).

he was 3 on 4 targets against the seahawks though. woulda been 4 on 5 targets with that second td.

he looks so much more explosive than any of the other tight ends on this team. and mcvay seems to trust him more and more as a blocker.

maybe not this season but definitely one for the future.

i think this clip explains well how the rams got robbed on that two point conversion call. ultimately the rams lost the game. they flubbed on plenty of other plays that could have easily clinched the win for them, but they couldn’t execute.

    roberto clemente@rclemente2121

eagles: up 26-7 in the 3rd, lost.
niners: up 20-7 in the 3rd, lost.
hawks: up 30-14 in the 4th, lost.

    brutal.

the good news: reached the postseason again, for the 7th time in the 9 seasons mcvay has been hc, and have as good a chance as anyone to make a sb run.

    go rams!

the rams did get jobbed by the refs.

you won’t believe this, but he called out the refs again right after the game. the tweet was quickly deleted but not before it went viral.

i don’t even want to post it. part of me was laughing. the other part was wtf.

special teams let the team down. coverage teams. punting. kicking.

    and that fluke 2 pt conversion… i’m sad….

yeah. they did not close out. defense layed a fourth quarter egg. offense couldn’t get first downs.

the rams got screwed on what would have been a td to ferguson but no excuses. they shoulda closed out. especially with three turnovers. big plays killed them.

    i’m so sad.

i’m a little conflicted. on one hand i am not exactly sure he knew what that hand gesture meant. i didn’t even know until i looked it up.

on the other hand his family is very close to the dana white family… it doesn’t mean they share the same beliefs, but that dude is a little dangerous in my opinion. dana white that is. i also read on reddit somewhere that he was a covid denier and didn’t believe in vaccines. so… i don’t know. he’s young. maybe naive. i hope he learns from this. not just from a pr perspective. but also from a personal standpoint.

i like to watch him play. a joy to watch. this is a little disappointing though.

in fairness to puka, i saw another segment where he was invited to a Jewish Seder and talked about what a good time he had and how much he enjoyed participating in another culture and learning different things. i think he was tricked. having said that he’s gotta be careful. he’s also gotta not insult the refs who could have a direct impact on the game tonight.

apparently puka is facing some controversy this week. livestreamed with some social media stars. was insulting nfl refs, was doing what some are calling an antisemitic dance (so the dance is done by some guy who is actually jewish but he’s also widely known to hold some pretty far right views and is associated with white nationalists)… he also tried to sneak these guys into the rams facility but was admonished by sean mcvay.

not what i wanted to hear.

    PFF doesn’t ā€œdoā€ an ā€œoverall teamā€ rating, but….

i guess it’s not too surprising. their schedule has been pretty tough. like 11 games against teams with winning records. and they’re not just beating them. they’re winning emphatically. so hopefully they can keep this up tomorrow.
