    not worth it. i do think they need to go tight end in the draft.

    i like tyler conklin in the fourth round. good red zone target but also supposed to be a capable blocker.

    i like the idea of pairing him with everett.

    It makes me nervous too, but apparently inside LBs are not as difficult to replace in Wade’s defense, provided you find the right type.

    not too broken up. they can use one of their sixth round picks on a developmental prospect and special teams ace.

    i like josh reynolds. a lot. he could easily add another 20 pounds to his frame. and he’s not just tall. he’s got very good agility (4.13 short shuttle and a 6.83 3-cone). he’s explosive (37″ vertical 10’4″ broad).

    and again. i think kupp gets better.

    i could see them drafting another tight end this year. tyler conklin looks like a possibility in the later rounds. rams interviewed him at the senior bowl i believe. tested very well at the combine. very versatile.

    i think i miss the second rounder more than i miss watkins to be honest.

    not just the wrs but gerald everett is still here.

    don’t know how good he can be, but they spent a second round pick on him.

    maybe we start to see more two tight end sets. maybe everett can help stretch the field? time for the younger guys to step up.

    i don’t know. they just got rid of alex smith. they do have a promising young qb, but it looks like they’re in rebuild mode. it’s not the best situation for success. they do have andy reid, and he knows offense.

    here’s a piece on rashaan evans. vea’s just a pipe dream, but i’m really warming up on evans. i like his versatility. i think his intangibles are off the charts. lots of leadership potential there. tough and intelligent. competitive.

    i would want the rams.

    but that’s just me. but outside of the rams, my next choice would be the packers followed by the jaguars.

    the bears and the chiefs look like a disaster right now to me.

    i think they’d have to trade up to draft vea.

    and it’d probably require a future second rounder at the very least.

    but then. on paper at least. they’d have a top notch dline to go with a top notch secondary. on paper at least.

    then potentially you’d have this.

    ebukam littleton barron rolb

    peters joyner johnson talib

    rolb would be filled perhaps by barwin. and the third round draft pick. but the push that dline would create. the number of blockers that beefy line would occupy…

    not to mention the run defense. i might even feel for offenses trying to run on that front seven.

    this is what intrigues me about evans. i think vander esch has that potential too as does edmunds.

    edmunds is gone in the top 10 i have to think. that leaves evans vs vander esch.

    i don’t know which way i’d go. today i’d go evans. he not only has the potential to do it all. he HAS done it all on that alabama defense. only problem is athletically he doesn’t pop out at me, and i fear that he may be a product of having great talent around him. i don’t know. but he’d give the defense a lot of options.

    now if landry is still available at 23. i think i take him over the previous two. his pass rushing potential is off the charts. he might be less versatile, but i don’t care. his pass rushing abilities are off the charts. then you draft the inside linebacker in the later rounds. maybe josey jewell. or maybe you already got the guy on your team in littleton.

    but a landry and donald combo with complimentary pieces around those 2? wow. they should get a lot of sacks with that secondary playing behind them. then they need a nose tackle.

    then draft rashaan evans in the first round. i really want landry, but i think he’ll be gone. he’s too good. teams are gonna put on his junior tape, and someone’s going to draft him before 20. but i like evans too. he’ll replace ogletree. he’s better against both the run and pass than ogletree is. and his intangibles are through the roof. tough and intelligent. old school mentality. but his skills are new school. he can play multiple roles for a team and has even rushed off the edge some for alabama. had 6 sacks last year. 15 career sacks. like i said he can rush off the edge but also blitz from the inside.

    then in the third round you draft a josh sweat. i believe he’s gonna drop due to medical issues. probably won’t have great long-term prospects. but might be good for three years at least. i keep reading he was misused in college. and so i think his production is a little misleading. other than his knee, he’s got it all. explosive and athletic. supposed to have a good motor. and extremely long.

    that’d give you

    that’s a helluva starting 11 right there.

    but then who knows what they do in free agency. maybe they find some bargain free agents. and then they find their future lot with the first pick. i could see that too. and then still draft a josh sweat in the third round.

    i think at this point talib is the safer bet, but if sherman comes back healthy he’s younger and he’s got better intangibles i would think.

    and i’m sure salary played a big part in talib being more desirable as well.

    i’m thinking more and more like landry has to be the guy. he’d be a steal at the rams’ pick. but most likely rams would have to trade up to get him.

    if not him i want rashaan evans. he’s mainly an inside backer, but i also read that he has been used as a situational edge rusher. or possibly trade down.

    but they need a pass rush.

    With a fierce, Aaron Donald-led pass rush generating pressure on the passer, the combination of gambling and guessing could lead to a bushel basket of turnover treats for the Rams.

    problem is donald needs help in the pass rush.

    i think defenses will adjust to mcvay.

    but the thing is. i remember reading an article a couple days ago about baker mayfield. and he was talking about how mcvay was picking his brain about the oklahoma offense. i think this guy is constantly evaluating and reevaluating his offense. tweaking it.

    we’ll just have to see.

    more importantly though. goff and co have to improve themselves. defenses may adjust. but goff can get better. gurley and kupp can both get better.

    but they could also regress.

    so i guess we’ll see. but i think the real key is goff. can he build on an excellent sophomore season? if he can’t defenses will figure out how to shut him down soon enough.
