HramParticipantWe will rally around Corbett, who will sign a long term deal during the season, and we will play good football!
It could happen
HramParticipantYou live in your own world, Marcus. Just grab your crotch and hold on really really tight.
It’s this kind of awesome post that makes me wish we had a “like” feature on this forum. 🙂
HramParticipantOr anchrum or brewer at RG

HramParticipantI think he has some position versatility. Which is important if you are going to play with Donald. 🙂

HramParticipantThe Tutu pick is growing on me.
The Rams have not had anyone who could stretch the field since cooks and they need that for this offense. They haven’t had anyone to run the jet suite effectively since Austin and they need that in this offense.
tutu cannot run as well as Austin but he is just as fast. He’s 20 pounds lighter than cooks but it looks like he has better hands and can track the ball in the air better. Plus supposedly he will fight for balls which was something cooks seldom did.
With him you get both these players for the price of one.
Supposedly he was already up to 160 on draft day so they could probably get him up to about 170 in which case he may be big enough to play a full season after Jackson departs particularly if it is only about a third to half the snaps on offense since they have three other good wide receivers and will probably also do some two TE sets.

HramParticipantI don’t believe not picking an oline prospect hurt then this year as the Rams have some decent depth. It could hurt them in two to three years since they won’t be developing a new pick. But there are so many ways to build an Oline.
When they figure out who is going to play center, if that person is decent, they will be in good shape.
After this year when several contracts expire, they’ll have to extend or acquire a few.

HramParticipantI think the entire group will redshirt Although three or four may make the roster. The rest will be on the practice squad.
The Rams been trending this direction in the last couple of drafts.
One of the wide receivers will probably be converted to tight end and the other one may be converted to H-back or a large slot receiver. Either make play but it will probably be in two or three years unless one of them surprises on special teams.
Once they did not go oline by the fourth round, it kind of makes sense to not get one the rest of the draft. There should be lots of online men including lots of free agent centers who want to sign with the Rams at this point
HramParticipantBig fella
HramParticipantGood call Jack!
HramParticipantI think it’s more likely Desean Jackson only has one season with them.
HramParticipantSeems to be different opinions on his potential at different sites.
My guess is they will redshirt him this year (they do that a lot in this regime) playing some special teams while they see how he develops.
Probably get a 5th round pick for him in 4 years when they let him go in Free Agency 🙂
HramParticipantI know the tautology is tautological, and all, and teams draft the guys they like, and not the players they don’t like.
But if speed was their aim, why not Anthony Scwartz? He’s faster than Tutu, and 6′.
I wouldn’t have gone wideout at all, but Scwartz has Olympic speed. Tutu is just fast, and his vert and broad are pedestrian.
Best guess, Schwartz looks like more of a straight line fellow and tutu has more wiggle.
I’m thinking of those jet sweeps. Also sounds like tutu has a chip on his shoulders, which is in his favor.

HramParticipantWe will Jack, lots of goo Oline left in this draft and I don’t think the current Oline depth we have is that far off.
HramParticipantI don’t like the pick but,
He weighed himself today and was up to 160 lbs.
He only had two drops last season per the ESPN team.
Mel had him in his next 5 to go (was at #4) before we picked him so he probably wasn’t a big reach.
I’m remembering all the times McVay call the play where Avery ran a sweep and Gurley went up the middle. The new QBs strength is reading defenses, and we likely run this play more often again.
We did need another speed guy IMO.
I can understand the pick, even though I don’t like it any better than I liked the Avery or Candidate picks.
HramParticipantI really wish the Rams were tied to better names in round 1. So far I’m drawing a blank with all of the ones mentioned that the Rams might take.
I’m interested to see whether the opt outs drop from projections 6-8 months ago because of not playing last year.
HramParticipantThat last video is pretty funny 😄
HramParticipantBilly, you only get the reasons why if you know the move after, queen to queen’s level three”. 🙂
HramParticipantI will take him at his word that he would do anything for the team including the move to guard.
I don’t think it happens, but it is interesting.
HramParticipantIs the guard position less of an injury risk? Would it prolong Whitworths career.
I think he’s the best tackle on the team, but the youngun proved a reasonable starter. I don’t think it happens, but it is interesting.

HramParticipantWell, if players are being offensive… I don’t necessarily have a problem with Donald putting them in their place. They should be less offensive, darn it.
HramParticipantZooey, well played. 🙂

HramParticipantGood to see the Rams once again maneuvering thing to accumulate an abundance of 6th round picks!
I missed that. 🙂
HramParticipantJefferson does not strike me as soft. Even if he is as “soft” as Bruce, that wouldn’t be bad.
I think he’s better than the guy he is replacing in that way. Josh reynolds seemed to never fight for a ball. It irked me.
I don’t think he will be the best Receiver on the team next year. As a sophomore, he still has a lot to learn.

HramParticipantDid Massey have any sons? Wouldn’t one of them be about the right age?
HramParticipantI’m pounding the draft-table for Johnny Steamroll, Bulldog Pancaker, or Wolfgang Von Trapblock. Just hoping they don’t run sub-5.0 forties at their Pro Days, or the Rams may be out of luck.
Great post Billy!
HramParticipantThey spent more than the Rams did to get the third choice at an unproven player.
Inconceivable
HramParticipantIf we only use him for about 15 plays a game to stretch the field, he might be able to stay healthy.
It could work.
HramParticipantAwesome prediction canadaram!!!!
You were all over that one!
HramParticipantAt least we didn’t have to give them a pick to clear the cap space.
Core locker room guy. He’s been with the team a good long while.
Good player, but not exceptional. I think his snaps are replaceable without losing much.
HramParticipant“I can’t let him down.”
That’s telling.
