So why did you attend a protest against Trump? A trans child? What has Trump ever done that would make you think you need to “protect” your child from him?

Recently, there has been a bunch of Denial…articles and op-eds reassuring us that Trump can’t be as awful as he wants to be. All the Anger in the protests.

All the NPR people just sounded so sad, and bleeding heart, I wanted to throw up, but didn’t have to because I didn’t listen for more than a few minutes at a time as I ran errands.

So they want something positive to read?

Tell them to fucking set down their reading material, and go play with their kids, or take a hike along a river with a friend, or lend a hand in some charity. Get back to living life, and make some positive connections with other humans.

Stop all this mopey bullshit and make a stranger smile somewhere.

Seriously.

It will shake the grief faster than any prescriptive book will.

“Turn the economy around.” Okay, I’ve asked you this before, and you’ve never really answered. What exactly is Trump going to do to make this happen? Please supply specifics, because he never did.

“We’re going to stop the jobs from leaving, and bring them back” is not a plan. It’s an empty promise, which all politicians make. What is he going to do, specifically, to make this happen — especially when his call for massive deregulation of businesses conflicts with any claim about forcing the jobs to stay home. The two things are completely at odds.

We have gone over this before. Better trade deals, less regulation, tax breaks, repatriation of corporate cash from abroad, tariff on goods brought into the US by manufacturers that stiffed the US worker and taxpayer, $1 Trillion infrastructure modernization and a stop to illegal immigration. A very synergistic approach.
