This is a close as I have seen Spotrac. If you delete Watts, who is on the SUS, You get ~4.7 million. I guess it works that when Watts comes off the SUS, the Rams will gain ~400k. Like if you took a player off IR. imo
AgamemnonParticipantWide receivers
By Colin Lindsay | August 23, 2015
No Comments‘Tis better to receive … The wide receiver position has been one of the positions of choice at recent drafts. Indeed, two receivers were taken among the first 7 picks in each of the past couple of drafts, including former Alabama star Amari Cooper and West Virginia’s Kevin White who were the 4th and 7th picks respectively by Oakland and Chicago at the 2015 draft. At the same time, a total of 11 WRs were taken in the opening round of the past two drafts combined, the most of any position.
And there likely won’t be a huge drop-off in the talent level at the position at the upcoming draft, although time will tell whether the WRs come off the board quite as quickly this spring as in the past couple of years. Juniors Tyler Boyd of Pittsburgh and Mississippi’s Laquon Treadwell, for example, both have top 10 ability, but both have issues which could impact their ultimate draft fate. In particular, Boyd, who doubles as one of the top returners in the country, will not play in the Panthers’ season opener next month after he was charged with DUI back in June. Meanwhile, Treadwell is coming off a gruesome leg injury late last season in which he suffered a broken leg and dislocated an ankle. However, if they get cleared both are very talented receivers. Boyd, in particular, is a big-play threat who put together back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons in his first two years at Pitt. Boyd isn’t the most physical receiver, but he has good speed, along with better quickness while he also has great hands and the ability to get open. For his part, Treadwell is a potential mismatch problem on every snap with his combination of size and athleticism along with elite body control and the ability to track and go up and get the ball.
In fact, underclassmen are going to pretty much determine the strength of the 2016 wide receiver class. In addition to Boyd and Treadwell, fellow junior receivers Michael Thomas of Ohio State, Mike Williams of Clemson and Florida’s Demarcus Robinson each has later first round potential, while there is another small army of junior receivers that should get some second-day consideration if they opt to enter this year’s draft including Rashard Higgins of Colorado State, Travin Dural of LSU, Mississippi State’s De’Runnya Wilson, Pharoah Cooper of South Carolina, Tennessee’s Marquez North, Stacy Coley of Miami, 6-5 Corey Robinson of Notre Dame, Josh Reynolds of Texas A&M, Corey Coleman of Baylor and Cayleb jones of Arizona.
At the same time, Duke Williams of Auburn, arguably the top senior receiving prospect this year, also has mid-to-late first round potential, but he comes with a boatload of character concerns that may scare away more than one team next spring. Josh Doctson of TCU, another big-play type could also conceivably get some late opening round consideration, although he’s had some injury issues in the past. Meanwhile, other senior WRs with top 100 credentials include Leonte Carroo of Rutgers, Colorado’s Nelson Spruce, Devon Cajuste of Stanford and Sterling Shepherd of Oklahoma.
There are also a number of possible wild cards at the position starting with former Ohio State QB Braxton Miller who will be catching passes this fall rather than throwing them. Miller still claims to be a QB and is playing WR this year primarily because his surgically repaired throwing shoulder still isn’t 100%, but most NFL scouts will tell you they are secretly thrilled that Miller will be working at receiver this year because he just doesn’t have an NFL arm. Meanwhile, other veteran wild card receivers worth multiple looks this year include D.J. Foster of Arizona State, who ran for over 1,000 yards as a RB last fall, but like Miller moves to receiver this fall. Same for Oregon speedster Byron Marshall. Meanwhile, anyone looking for a break out star at the position this year may not need to look much farther than TCU’s Kolby Listenbee, an emerging big-play threat with track speed.September 7, 2015 at 4:40 pm in reply to: As of today, the UDFAs on the Rams roster & practice squad #30046

AgamemnonParticipantRams announce 10-man practice squad
http://www.stltoday.com/sports/football/professional/article_da152814-0065-54d9-8314-163ac67b6471.html
9 minutes ago • By Joe LyonsThe Rams’ 10-man practice squad has a familiar look to it.
After making cuts to reach its 53-man roster on Saturday, the team announced Sunday that 10 of those players had been signed to the practice squad.
They are: T Isaiah Battle, RB Malcolm Brown, S Christian Bryant, TE Justice Cunningham, S Jacob Hagen, FB Zach Laskey, DE Matt Longacre, CB Trovon Reed, DT Louis Trinca-Pasat and DT Doug Worthington.
U. CITY’s BASS CLAIMED BY TITANS
A pair of NFL players with ties to the area _ defensive end David Bass and defensive end Kourtnei Brown _ were claimed off waivers Sunday after being cut on Saturday.
Bass, a University City High product who played in college at Missouri Western, was claimed by the Tennessee Titans after being released by the Chicago Bears. The 24-year-old Bass was a seventh-round draft pick by Oakland in 2013 who’d spent the last two seasons in Chicago. The 6-foot-4, 256-pounder played in 20 games, making two starts, and had 33 tackles, four sacks and an interception returned for a touchdown.
Brown, 27, spent time with the Rams in training camp and was on the practice squad for a time last year. He was one of the players featured during HBO’s Hard Knocks with the Houston Texans this year but failed to make the final cut. On Sunday, he was claimed by Tampa Bay.
A Clemson product, the 6-4, 253-pound Brown has been with San Francisco, Washington, Buffalo, Detroit, St. Louis and Houston but has not played in an NFL game.
Linebacker Jason DiManche, an SIUC product, has been moved to injured reserve by Cincinnati. Also shifted to IR were former Missouri Tiger DT Ziggy Hood (Jacksonville) and LB Xaviar Gooden (Tennessee).
In addition, former Rams receiver Greg Salas is on injured reserve with Detroit.
A number of other players with area ties were released on Saturday. They are:
WR Marcus Lucas (Missouri) by Carolina; TE Gannon Sinclair (Missouri State) by Chicago;
RB Ray Agnew III (De Smet/SIUC) by Dallas; WR A.J. Jenkins (Illinois) by Dallas; DT Dominique Hamilton (Missouri) by the New York Giants; WR/KR Walter Powell (Hazelwood East) by the New York Jets; G Joe Asamoah (Illinois) by Atlanta); and G David Arkin (Missouri State) by Indianapolis.
Sunday afternoon, Jim Thomas of the Post-Dispatch learned that Agnew signed with Washington’s practice squad.
Former Rams cut on Saturday were: DE Gerald Rivers by Denver; RB Daryl Richardson by the Jets; WR Devon Wylie by Oakland; DE Matt Conrath by Pittsburgh; and DT Jermelle Cudjo by Detroit.

And S Jacob Hagen. So that completes Rams 10-member practice squad along w/previously reported Battle, Trinca-Pasat, Cunningham, & Longacre.

AgamemnonParticipantCB Imoan Claiborne, released in the Rams' cut to 75, is joining the Tampa Bay practice squad.
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) September 6, 2015
AgamemnonParticipantBTW, how much 2015 cap space do they have after cutting Davis and Dunbar? That’s another couple M, right?
That information is in the initial post under cap totals, 3.297.323. They seem to include all the latest moves and like they said, it is for a 53 man roster.
AgamemnonParticipantPlus as they did with Foles, they can park some of the contract in the following year. That is, it’s not just 2016. So Foles’s extension takes 4+ M out of the 2015 cap, but then 8.7+ M out of the 2016 cap (and then 13.2+ M out of 2017). Assuming the cap in 2017 is 155 M, right now they have 68+ M in 2017 cap space to help sign their own free agents. Of course that number will go down when they sign both 2016 and 2017 draft picks.
.
Everything was figured in.
AgamemnonParticipant
A quick look at 2016. A quick easy way to figure 2016, is to take the 34 million cap space and figure how many of our 12 FAs we can sign. Don’t worry about number of contracts, rookie draft picks, RFAs, cuts, restructures, or that the cap will probably be 155 million, it all can boil down to 12 FAs and ~34 million. Which is close enough for now.
I am just showing that the Rams are in good shape with the salary cap in 2016

AgamemnonParticipantYeah, I am not sure either. I would have kept Battle. Let’s see who gets on the practice squad.
Fisher said other moves were afoot. Maybe they trade one of the receivers.
True. But if they lose Battle, I am calling that a mistake. Just like I call giving up a 2cd round draft pick to move up for Austin a mistake. That will be only the second thing I will knock them for. That isn’t bad.
