AgamemnonParticipantOne reason for Cunningham promotion is TE Lance Kendricks underwent surgery on finger earlier this week. May not be ready for Cleveland.
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) October 15, 2015
Those who were killing Kendricks for drop against Pittsburgh, he's had this injury since 1st game.
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) October 15, 2015
W/promotion of Cunningham to active roster, Rams used his practice squad spot to add RB Trey Watts.
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) October 15, 2015
AgamemnonParticipantRams off practice field Wed. RG Rodger Saffold (shoulder) is getting a second opinion. As Fisher said the other day, fear is labral tear.
— Nick Wagoner (@nwagoner) October 14, 2015
AgamemnonParticipantNo RB Trey Watts at practice Weds., team has not added him to practice squad at this point.

AgamemnonParticipantThis isn’t entirely accurate. But, you know, if we hit the 63 yd FG, then Bailey makes it into the end zone, we are a 2pt conversion from tying the game. ๐
Foles pass to Quick in the end zone was almost a TD, except for a really good play by the DB.
I like that Williams did well with a different philosophy on defense. He showed can do things more than one way. At least I had not seen it before.
AgamemnonParticipantPlan for now remains to keep LB Alec Ogletree on the active roster even though he won't be able to play for awhile. Could change later.
— Nick Wagoner (@nwagoner) October 12, 2015
AgamemnonParticipantInjury news somewhat encouraging for Rams. DE Chris Long does not have ACL or MCL damage. It's a hyperextension, may miss wk or 2.
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) October 12, 2015
Obviously having bye week helps. As for Saffold he injures right shoulder _ the one he injured in preseason, not one that underwent surgery
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) October 12, 2015
But Saffold undergoing more tests to make sure he doesn't need surgery on this one. He's questionable for Cleve (Oct. 25), Fisher says
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) October 12, 2015
AgamemnonParticipantAs expected, Rams coach Jeff Fisher said Rams plan to bring RB Trey Watts back to practice squad after releasing him today.
— Nick Wagoner (@nwagoner) October 12, 2015
AgamemnonParticipantNo ligament damage for DE Chris Long. He has hyperextended knee. Expected to miss a couple-three weeks, per Jeff Fisher.
— Nick Wagoner (@nwagoner) October 12, 2015
On Todd Gurley's workload, Fisher said he didn't plan for 30 carries for Gurley and acknowledged that's not sustainable moving forward.
— Nick Wagoner (@nwagoner) October 12, 2015
Gurley among the players Fisher said will get some rest.

AgamemnonParticipantHeโs wearing a brace? He runs like that and heโs wearing a brace?!
Look out, leagueโฆ
He doesn’t wear it in practice. The trainers made him put it on for the game.
AgamemnonParticipantWill ask Fisher here in a bit, but would venture a guess Watts is brought back after the bye week. Buys another week for Ogletree decision.

AgamemnonParticipantLB James Laurinaitis (9) and nickel back Lamarcus Joyner (8) both registered season highs in tackles. All 8 of Joyner's tackles were solos.
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) October 12, 2015
Mark Barron had 3 pass breakups (and 6 tackles).
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) October 12, 2015
They have moved up to 16th in rushing offense, however, thanks to Todd Gurley's 305 yards over the past two games.
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) October 12, 2015
AgamemnonParticipantOn offense, Todd Gurley was in for 45 snaps (63%), Benny Cunningham for 20 snaps (28%). But Tre Mason, only 5 plays (7%).
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) October 12, 2015
After just 6 plays and zero targets in season debut vs. Arizona, Brian Quick was more involved vs. Green Bay: 20 plays, 3 targets, 1 catch
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) October 12, 2015
Other WR #s: Austin 55 plays (77%), Britt 53 plays (75%), Bailey 44 plays (62%).

AgamemnonParticipantRams Conservative Plan Limits Packers Offense
They didn’t blitz as much, but they played tighter coverage. imo

AgamemnonParticipantA 63 yard fg really Jeff? He is totally enamored with the fact that GZ has a big leg. Weโve seen it now for 4 years that he has been the Rams HC. Go for it, I think NFL stats will prove 4th and 7 has a better chance of being made over a 63 yard fg. Play the percentages!!!
Really good post by Laram, except for this bit. Going for it is Ok, Trying the FG is Ok. In fact, I agree with Fisher. I would go for it. I know that the NYT 4th down Bot would have gone for it.

http://nyt4thdownbot.com/play/20151011009672
I think that you can use logic to trump statistics in this case. When time becomes critical, whether a play can win or lose becomes the critical factor. imo
Also since we need 2 scores and a FG will do for 1, it becomes what is my best chance to score a TD. I have a better chance of scoring a TD with the ball on my own 35 with first and 10 than I do going for it on 4th and 7. It is about a 1 in 5 chance.
Not making a first down or missing a FG, both lose the game. Making a FG gives me 1 score and do it now give me the most time to try for a TD. Making 4th and 7 just gives me a first down and runs time off the clock. I still need 2 scores.
It is fine to go for it and and figure it doesn’t take much to get a chance at a FG later. But that might well be a another 63 yarder. ๐ So, I am fine with either play, but I prefer Fisher’s in this case.

AgamemnonParticipantWe got 3 turnovers off Rogers. The 2 ints and Quinn’s sack fumble. You could almost count the 4th down stop or Hekker’s pass as TOs.
I liked that the defense didn’t concede the short pass as much as they have done in the past. A FG beats a TD, but with at least 10 possessions a game, a FG = 30 points. Throw some 3 and outs in there and you can afford giving a couple TDs. Throwing a shutout is best. ๐
AgamemnonParticipantCouple interesting stats: Rams outgained Green Bay 334 yards to 322, and had nearly a 7 1/2-minute edge in possession time _ 33:43 to 26:17.
— Jim Thomas (@jthom1) October 12, 2015
We needed more points. ๐

AgamemnonParticipantI think it is a bit of everything, not just one thing. Improved understanding by Austin, better usage by the Rams, and he looks more like he did in college. He has stopped doing that sort of hesitation stuff he did before or at least he doesn’t do it so much. For some parts of the last couple years, he just didn’t look like he did in college. imo Maybe he was dinged? HIs movements looked different to me.
He has a better QB, too. Foles is better than the backups of last year.

In this case, cut of the excess part of the link so that the link ends in a png, gif, jpg, etc. Then the board software recognizes it as an image file.
