AgamemnonParticipantTavon isn’t your average WR. He is more of a home run hitter. There is a premium for that. imo
He isn’t a move the chains and/or score in the red zone type.
He can take the ball from anywhere on the field and score. He can do it with a long pass, short pass, run, punt return, or even kick return. The other team is never safe when he is on the field. How many receivers can say that?
AgamemnonParticipantActually Tavon is not getting that much compared to other WRs. They don’t understand that because his contract extends way out until 2021, that they can’t compare averages for this years salary of WRs to Tavon contract. The Salary Cap will be about 200 million when he hits the larger numbers. An important point is when can the Rams get out of the contract. Again, cause he is still on his 4th year, rookie contract, getting out after 3 years wouldn’t be bad. And we still need to see the details of the contract.
The franchise tag is 9.2% of this years salary can and the tag follows the cap increases. Tavon salary will equal about 5% for the length of his contract. They should be so lucky that they sign another 10 players to a contract like that. imo

Est. Cap Space (Top 51): $7,893,337
Evidently, the Rams moved some money around when they gave Tavon his extension. Their Cap Space increased by ?about a million. We have to wait for the contract details to know for sure.

AgamemnonParticipanttied with deandre hopkins for most tds by a receiver from the 2013 class.
Interesting…except, 4 of them (I think) we’re from rushing, and he had as many carries as catches, so I’m not sure whose contract to compare his to.
I would say, Tavon gets paid to score TDs.

AgamemnonParticipantThat is a decent contract. imo
Finally, the Rams get a player signed early.
Tavon is under contract through, 2021. The franchise tag for this year for WR is 14.6M.
Tavon gets 4M this year.
12M next year.
42M for the next 4 years.
New money is 10.5M for the years 2018 – 2021. Count 2016 and 2017, he gets 56M for the next 6 years.
AgamemnonParticipantI will be watching the 11:00 replay. I don’t do sign ups. I don’t give out information over the internet. I don’t put information on my computer. I would be connected to too much porn. 😉
Maybe I can find a hazard site to watch or radio? But even then they are bad resolution and they have a big delay. They are hardly worth it. I think I deleted my old bookmarks. I am not watching KC vs Chi or Tenn vs Oak. When the Cardinals moved they televised their games for 2 years, I think. The media people really took it hard the way the Rams left. imo

AgamemnonParticipantOn the eve of the Rams’ third preseason game, Southern California News Group writers Ryan Kartje and Jack Wang discuss what Rams players need to prove themselves in this week’s “dress rehearsal” matchup, why Hard Knocks just hasn’t been that compelling, and whether Paxton Lynch is proving the Rams made a mistake in their massive trade-up for Jared Goff.

AgamemnonParticipantI will take a bit more risk of injury to make sure the team is ready for the first game. Other than that, I want what I have always wanted this year. Players who catch the ball and a quality backup Center.
I am not satisfied with Rhaney and Kush. I want to see more WRs catching more passes.

Rams training camp — Aug. 23
Live from Rams training camp, Ryan Kartje and Jack Wang talk about the latest on rookie quarterback Jared Goff, as well as an updated injury report.
AgamemnonParticipant
AgamemnonParticipantgreed is what brought them to st louis. and it’s what brought them back to los angeles.
And it will probably take them to Portland or San Antonio in 20 years when the new stadium in Inglewood becomes outdated.
Just how long do you think,

will live?
AgamemnonParticipantThat is a lot of work for nothing. It really won’t make Goff a better QB next year to be the immediate starter this year. He needs about 10 starts this year to be ready for next year. That will come in the normal course of events. Keenum will get hurt or have a bad game/s, then Goff can play. It won’t make much difference if Goff starts every game this year, as long as he isn’t a rookie next year. imo
AgamemnonParticipant
AgamemnonParticipantI just wrote down a couple short notes after the game.
Quick had 2 drops. Goff had 2 fumbles. Thomas is not a kr guy. Goff to Brown, good pass and catch for the winning TD. The offensive line looked good. We have 4 RBs that can run and catch. Hemingway had a good catch and run. We still need to sort out the WRs and decide on a backup Center. imo
Hill #32 and Jordan #35 are making a bid to make the opening day roster. C’mon Ayers, make a play.
Spruce is injured, zooey. We don’t think it serious, but he is in a knee brace. It happened last game. Goff needed the work worse than Mannion. Green has his time last week, it was Brown’s turn. imo
