AgamemnonParticipantI have conflicting views on the subject. Some of the time I think we are fine, we just need a bit to get over the hump and then I think we should just tear everything down and almost start over. But, if we did that, we would not have anyone left. š
There aren’t any vets that are crippling the cap. They need to get value when they spend their money on FAs. imo

Their top 14 guys only take up about 47% of the cap. Cutting most of them doesn’t help the cap for 2017.

AgamemnonParticipantI am for making the offensive line the number one priority. But, when it comes to drafting, I am going TALENT. I am going strength over weakness. I would rather have a strength and a weakness as have balance. I am going player over position, as Snead says.
alyoshamucci, is good at his ratings. imo Me, I just do the top pick or two. I haven’t looked at the draft this year. My general feeling is that I want to get bigger on the defensive line and add a CB. I am looking for WRs that catch the ball.

AgamemnonParticipantGoff could just be better than Mannion. That is not my view, but it could be true. But, Goff will have fail first before Mannion will get a shot. That or he gets hurt. Odds are that he will get hurt and not finish all 16 games next year. (more if we go to the playoffs ;)) They will hire a coach that will do everything possible to develope Goff. You don’t invest all that draft capital and not do that. imo
AgamemnonParticipantI am a lucky guy but I do most of the cooking. Although almost no baking other than pizza. I do have an extra black sapote I bet you could do good with. If you can find it you should try baking with it.
I had to look that up. A fruit that is a substitute for chocolate. That is interesting.
AgamemnonParticipantMarried 28 years. If I had a girl friend and I came home late with a making brownies excuse Iād get the Lodge skillet upside my head.
If your wife uses a cast iron skillet, I am sure she knows how to cook and you are a lucky guy.
AgamemnonParticipant
There nothing easier than making brownies. Find a girl friend that knows how to cook. They are out there. š

AgamemnonParticipant.
Hmmm my dilemma is Iām long on appetite and short on recipes.Recipes are just guidelines, except with baking and even then you follow a recipe to get the exact same results everytime. With any recipe there are many variations and they all can be good. How many different cookies are there? Now if you want a specific cookie, you need an exact recipe. But you can make good cookies with a basic cookie dough and variations off that.
.
The classics are always good. That is why there are classics. If you want a certain dish, do a lookup on the internet. Usually every recipe will have about 3 things in common. Those are the things that count. Those are the things that are important. imo
.
My cheesecake recipe is a classic and to get the results I want I have to follow it EXACTLY and use the best techniques.
.
But, it is a form of custard. I know I can take 1 egg and 8oz of cheese and make some kind of good cheesecake. I might want to add a bit of milk or butter to get the consistency I want. When I do marbled brownies I just mix up 2 eggs, 2 8oz cream cheese, and the juice and zest of 1 lime. I like the result. It would make a decent cheesecake filling with only that. imo
.
I recommend using an extra egg and doing the cake like brownies. That is what I like.
AgamemnonParticipantThanks for sharing. Experimental Cheesecakeology is a noble and wide open field. If you want a second opinion on a new creation Iām available. Even better if 5 or 6 new creations.

TX, but I already have the world’s best cheesecake. I just improved my technique for the crust. But, if you have something to share. Like your version of the world’s best or favorite go ahead. š
AgamemnonParticipantI would put Britt and Havenstein on IR and bring up Battle and Williams. There is no one new that I want to see on defense. But there are a number of players on offense I would like to see. I have no hope that we win. But it is always best to end the season with a win. A lose is an ugly image to leave in your mind until next season.
AgamemnonParticipantWell, at a minimum the Rams have to resign TruJo. Thatās job one.
Also need resign Britt and Legatron. Plus, we should start working on an extension for Aaron Donald. Donald will be in the last year of his rookie deal next season.
They can let Legatron walk as far as Iām concerned. Britt should be resigned and of course it would be nice to extend Donald before his contract is up but being that heās the best defensive player in the NFL I bet heās going to want to test the market.
We have Donald for 6 years. 4 year rookie contract, 5th year option, and then the franchise tag. Or, we could extend him during that time.

AgamemnonParticipantAnalyzing the Los Angeles Rams key 2017 free agents
December 24, 2016 by Matthew Luhmann
The 4-11 Los Angeles Rams will have some interesting decisions to make this offseason. With nearly $41 million in cap space the Rams will have to make some key decisions with their 2017 free agents. This is because in 2018 they will have Aaron Donald, Alec Ogletree, and Greg Robinson all being potential free agents.
This upcoming Rams free agent class has some key players in Trumaine Johnson, TJ McDonald, Kenny Britt, Greg Zuerlein, and Benny Cunningham. All five of those players should be re-signed, especially Johnson and McDonald due to the lack of good depth in the secondary.
Trumaine JohnsonJohnson was selected in the third round of the 2012 draft, the same draft the Rams got Janoris Jenkins in. This past offseason, the Rams chose to go with Johnson over Jenkins as they placed the franchise tag on him.
An issue the Rams have had for years is good depth in their secondary, as they have been forced to start inexperienced corners such as Troy Hill and Michael Jordan when guys such as Johnson and EJ Gaines have been injured.
A big issue for Johnson has been his ability to stay on the field and he has played in 36 of 47 possible games in his last three seasons, including this season. However, Johnson has shown he can play well when healthy as he was able to shut down the now retired Calvin Johnson last season.
In 2016 Johnson has slowed down when it comes to creating turnovers as he has a lone interception coming off of a season in which he had seven. Johnson is a good physical cornerback, maybe a bit too aggressive at times but he does do well in the run game.
Overall, the Rams cannot afford to lose a guy like Johnson, especially with the way the team is set up. The big issue is how much money will he want after getting the franchise tag worth nearly $14 million.
TJ McDonaldThe former USC Trojan and third round pick in the 2013 draft is wrapping up his fourth year in the NFL. The hard-hitting safety has played in every game for the Rams this season and has one interception along with five pass deflections and 46 tackles.
McDonald has never been a guy who makes the flashy interceptions or just the big plays in general. Just like Johnson he is a physical player and likes to lay the lumber along with many on the Rams defense.
McDonald was part of a great safety duo last year with Rodney McLeod and has been able to do a solid job with Maurice Alexander by his side. In a similar boat as Johnson, McDonald is almost a must re-sign with the lack of quality depth in the Rams secondary.
Kenny BrittBringing in Kenny Britt was probably one of the best things Jeff Fisher did for the Rams. Fisher brought in the troubled Tennessee Titans wide receiver and in his third year with the Rams is the teamās first 1,000 yard wide receiver since Torry Holt in 2007.
Oct 23, 2016; London, United Kingdom; Los Angeles Rams receiver Kenny Britt (18) is defended by New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins (20) during game 16 of the NFL International Series at Twickenham Statdium. The Giants defeated the Rams 17-10. Mandatory Credit: Kirby Lee-USA TODAY SportsThis season Britt has set career highs in targets, receptions, and yards. In six games Britt has had 75 of more receiving yards and has been targeted ten or more times in four games.
For years the Rams have been searching for a true number one wide receiver and they might have found that in the 28 year old Britt. All of these numbers are being put up with below average quarterbacks as well, just imagine if Jared Goff comes out in 2017 doing what the Rams expected of him when he was drafted.
A big, tall receiver who has shown he can produce is a must re-sign for the Rams. If they can find a solid number two to go along with Britt and Tavon Austin, the team will have a nice receiving core for the future to help Goff.
Greg ZuerleinGreg āThe Legā Zuerlein had a rough season in 2015 as he made just 20/30 field goals. This season, Zuerlein has been much more accurate as he is 17/20 this season, and his three misses have comes from forty or more yards, two from beyond fifty yards.
With a struggling Rams offense it has been hard for Zuerlein to get as many opportunities to make field goals, but his strong leg is still a force to be reckoned with. Accuracy is still a work in progress as his career field goal percentage is 79.1%, but he has been a solid kicker aside from 2015 and one could make the argument for 2012.
Benny CunninghamCunningham has been dependable as a kick returner and as the backup to Todd Gurley this season. Despite only having 21 carries, Cunningham was able to rush for 101 yards, which is 4.8 per carry. That along with 16 receptions for 91 yards is solid for the Middle Tennessee State alum.
The kick return game is where Cunningham shines ever brighter. This season Cunningham returned 22 kicks for an average of 27.2 per return, which is fifth best in the NFL. While he is not the flashiest player, he gets the job done and gets it done right. Cunningham should be re-signed to help relieve Todd Gurley during games and do his good work on special teams in the return game.
This is more about the Rams players than what wv started this thread as. I will get it back on line in a minute.

AgamemnonParticipantI am still curious and still would like you to talk about the bad arguments that you hear Ag.
I had assumed that most people who knew something about global warming and werenāt employed by Exxon accepted global warming. Itās a very intuitive or maybe common sense theory. If you put tons of carbon particles in the air, there will be some type of impact. Thatās Newtonās first law: for every action thereās an equal but opposite reaction.
I know though from my limited exposure to science that the world doesnāt always operate by rules that are intuitive. Light acts as both a particle and wave, a large percentage of the mass of the universe is made of material that we canāt see. So I am genuinely intrigued when you say that people are making bad arguments about this issue. I am constantly surprised by how many bad arguments I hear from professionals and āexpertsā.
And I am willing to listen and do a little reading because global warming isnāt issue that Iāve really examined before.
Can we start here? Do you believe NOAA when they say that 2016 is the warmest year ever recorded? Do you believe scientists who say that the ice caps are melting because of the warming?
I didn’t see your post before, Cal. I am not going to pursue this argument/discussion. I see no benefit from doing that. Everybody is free to look and reason and come to their own conclusions. If we don’t agree, we don’t agree. Have a beer. š If I am wrong, I claim it is my constitutional right to be wrong. š No one has to agree with me. I want them to make a concerted effort to do their own thinking. The people here do that, that is why I very seldom argue stuff. I just say my opinion and move on.
