    Reminder that the Browns released Greg Robinson and then re-signed him right before the 2019 season and like 90% of Browns fans said it was a genius move of manipulating the waiver wire and not to worry about the offensive line.

    I think (and I hate I’m about to use this phrase) in the “modern NFL” that a Center is much more important than a Guard. Protections and blitz packages are more sophisticated than ever and I’d rather have someone shoring down the rest of the OL.

    Yeah I definitely think that’s the case in certain schemes especially (where young QBs are, heavy OZ). But then again guards usually have much tougher roles post-snap facing off against what I think is the most talent-rich position in the sport (3T). Case by case basis really.

    I’m hearing the #Rams are going to be promoting football administration staffer Sophie Luoto to Director of Football Operations, making her one of the #NFL’s highest-ranking female executives in the #NFL. She’s been very well-respected amongst the Rams staff and players.

    This is cool, and I can confirm the promotion. Bruce Warwick capably handled this role for years and it’s a huge one in terms of the team’s day-to-day operations, travel and much more.

    Rams also will be hiring/naming a “director of stadium operations,” which sounds like a fun job. That will just be for their games, not all events at so-fly SoFi.

    The hiring of an offensive coordinator (Kevin O’Connell) was big. McVay will remain the offensive architect and play-caller, but he can lean on a top deputy for game-planning and installation. Theoretically, that will free up McVay to be more hands-on in other areas, including with the defense.
