    They talk a lot about Phillips and the new D. They talk about LB/DE conversions. According to LS, Wade likes both Ogletree and Barron. Talks about how well Wade evaluates talent. About how LS worked with Wade in Atlanta. LS has a head start on knowing what Wade wants. They have already worked together. Clayton says the offensive coaches are “a great staff.” LS says they talked to a lot of Washington players in doing due diligence on McVay, and they were all impressed. Goff—2016 was just the first chapter, he’s getting there. You can make 5 to 7 clips per game where you saw him do with the Rams what he did at Cal (ie. sheer physical and throwing ability). McVay has looked at Goff in 2016 and has said this and this and that fit what they’re doing this year, and that includes making kinds of throws most can’t make. To get Gurley going they need to back the defense off with the pass. Goff mentally and emotionally has what it takes to succeed, last year did not phase him.
