from Predicting Every Team’s Record for the 2020 NFL Season
    https://www.si.com/nfl/2020/09/02/every-team-season-record-predictions?ocid=uxbndlbing

    NFC WEST
    Seattle Seahawks: 12–4
    Los Angeles Rams: 11–5
    Arizona Cardinals: 9–7
    San Francisco 49ers: 8–8

Putting the 49ers at 8–8 doesn’t look that bad, until you realize it’s last place in this division. I am admittedly caught in the offseason trap that is the Cardinals. They are the trendiest team in football this offseason and my hope is that they finally have the personnel to upgrade their already substantial lead over the NFL in four-wide sets. Like the Ravens last year, Arizona might end up being the kind of outlier that is just too difficult to defend with the standard limitations of your NFL roster, which will help them conjure up some victories. I still like the 49ers; who doesn’t? However, plenty of teams have missed the playoffs after a damning Super Bowl loss like this one, and, as we saw in Seattle, Jacksonville, Chicago and any of the other places where excellent defenses emerged over the course of the last decade, it’s incredibly difficult to keep a unit like that together while playing at a high level.

I read this, the 49ers have some issues: https://www.ninersnation.com/2020/9/14/21437155/49ers-injury-updates-george-kittle-has-a-knee-sprain-deebo-samuel-expected-back-by-week-4

we see it every year… we see a team come out of nowhere to be a playoff team or in the case of the 49ers go to the SB and we also see teams collapse … usually because they cannot survive major injuries

The 49ers have been dealing with some very significant injuries from the very beginning of camp. They cannot win this division if these kinds of injuries keep up

they have no WRs… I wouldn’t be shocked if they tried to trade for Beckham or Robinson

And they cannot lose Kittle for an extended period of time and it appears his injury is significant

49ers just put Richard Sherman on IR, too, for four weeks. They seriously don’t have any WRs right now, either. And if Kittle’s out… they could be in early trouble. They have an easy schedule in the beginning, though, so maybe they scrape through until they get some players back.

The single best thing about Russell Wilson is the average weight of the sod he eats every time he plays the Rams.

Brian Schottenheimer admits the #Seahawks spent much more time this offseason discussing a more aggressive approach on offense. That includes going for it more on fourth down.

They cashed in big in Week 1 because of it.

Yeah, Jimmy is under some serious heat in the BA right now. Just imagine if they lost Mostert and Kittle…

Sherman and Kittle are out but if SF can’t beat the Jets without them, they have bigger problems.
