Much of the commentary for fired GMs is that they “never got the QB right,” and my question is, who do you trust to “get the QB right?”If a GM makes the right QB move once, are they more likely to do it again? Is it luck of the draw?

I think a lot about how it’s never one decision, either. It’s a long series of conversations that slowly push toward or away from a decision. For me it’s always, are you having productive conversations with a staff of scouts and coaches on the QB? Are they “getting it right” too?And if it does end up a lone decision …whether by GM or owner or HC…your process is beyond saving.

wvParticipantRams will be one of the Super Bowl favorites next year, with Stafford. Very high expectations.
But will Stafford want to play the next year. Or the next.
How are the Rams looking at the next QB transition ?
McVay has had Goff, and then Stafford. Not bad.
He hates running QBs, obviously. I will never get my running QB 🙂

Tom Moore is a legend. Once when he was the OC in Indy he was asked why the backup QB wasn’t getting reps… only Peyton was. Moore’s response? “ Well if 18 goes down we’re f^%ed… and we don’t practice f^%*ed!!”January 9, 2026 at 12:03 am #160938
