If the Rams don’t sign/tag Cory Littleton before noon ET today, his phone is going to be buzzzzzing. The Packers and Raiders will be “all over” him, apparently

Million-dollar question. They look like they’ll probably lose 4 starters on defense (Brockers, Fowler, Littleton, Weddle). With hardly any $, they’ll need to find any/every way possible to fill those gaps, likely relying on superstars on that side of the ball.

If @Rams LB Cory Littleton hits the open market, expect the @Raiders to make a big push for him.

A late third-round pick isn’t worth letting go of the production Cory Littleton gives you.

#Rams will seriously regret not bringing back Cory Littleton. This isn’t the Alec Ogletree situation. This is a top linebacker in football. He should’ve already been signed. The fact that all of these teams are this interested in him should tell you something.

Meanwhile, the Rams are working to re-sign four of their impending free agents: OT Andrew Whitworth, C Austin Blythe, DL Michael Brockers and pass rusher Dante Fowler

To clarify: I believe the Rams also want Littleton back. They just believe he is likely to get offered (by multiple teams) much more than they’re willing to pay.

Brandin Cooks has been traded twice in his career (Saints to Patriots, Patriots to Rams), with a first-round pick included on each occasion. The 7th-year WR could be traded again this offseason, and it likely wouldn’t take a 1.

FYI….If the Rams can trade him and designate him a post June trade, Rams save 12 million on this years cap..

Sources: Rams Talking with Teams About Brandin Cooks
The Rams are shopping WR Brandin Cooks and have had at least 3 teams call with interest. He could be moved in the coming days.

Another big-name player whose name is coming up in trade talks: Rams RB Todd Gurley. As I reported in December, the team may be ready to move on.

    Cameron DaSilva@camdasilva
Mike Silver said on NFL Network that the Rams could wind up cutting Todd Gurley if they can’t find a trade partner.

“If you want Todd Gurley, call the Rams.”

For the record: I don’t see any way the Rams can cut Gurley. Not because he’s too talented or anything, but strictly the $’s won’t allow them to. They’ll have to find a trade partner of some sort.

IIRC: The Rams met with Josh Kelley, Darrynton Evans, and at least Zach Moss pre-draft from the RB group. Now shopping Gurley hard.

Makes a lot of sense to draft a day 3 RB to pair with Darrell Henderson, building a nice stable of backs that can complement each other.

Update on a Todd Gurley trade per @TomPelissero. Sounds like the contract, knee, COVID-19 (lack of ability to travel and get a physical done) are all hoops that need to be cleared. Still sounds like the #LARams are motivated to move on from Gurley.
