As we discussed earlier this week, the Los Angeles Rams aren’t expected to sign their drafted rookie class until a little later in the offseason. The reason for waiting is to give their six drafted rookies a chance to get some financial education before handing over big paychecks.

So, just how big will those paychecks be when the Rams do sign them? The folks over at Spotrac.com have projected salaries for the Rams’ rookie class, including top overall pick Jared Goff.

According to Spotrac’s projections, which are all based on the NFL’s slotting system for the rookie wage scale, the Rams’ cap charge for their six rookies in 2016 will be $7,715,952.

Obviously, since the Rams didn’t make a pick in rounds two or three, Goff’s contract will be, by far, the most costly of the players the Rams are adding. Spotrac projects a four-year contract worth a total of $27,937,673 with a signing bonus of $18,518,308 for Goff. Their projected 2016 cap charge for Goff is $5,079,077. The Rams will also have a fifth-year option they can exercise on Goff when the time comes.

Here’s a look at the projected cap charges for the rest of the Rams’ drafted rookies in 2016:

    TE Tyler Higbee — $595,215

    WR Pharoh Cooper — $588,667

    TE Temarrick Hemingway — $489,896

    LB Josh Forrest — $483,580

    WR Mike Thomas — $479,017
