Is there gonna be a qb controversy next year?

If AustinD improves just a bit, i think
    there might be.

Am i stating the obvious here?

Well, Davis clearly had a case of the nerves early on and then at the end, where he threw to the wrong spot. That’s twice now he didn’t make it work in comeback time. I will say he has arrived when he DOES make it work in comeback time.

Say what you will about Bradford—people have lots of opinions on that—but he was getting comeback wins, not near-wins. (in fact he had 5 in 2012/2013 combined).

BUT in spite of starting skittish (early in the game) and ending skittish (on the final play), Davis did very well in that long series of 2 minute drills in the 3rd and 4th quarters. That counts very heavily.

Is the “comeback” thing a product of experience? It really could be, I dunno, so maybe he will start getting them.

You nailed it ZN. Davis was tight early in the game and at the end. I think calling screens would’ve helped him against that Philly pass rush.

Not sure if these are growing pains for Davis or if that’s his M.O. I was a bit pissed with the time management at the end of the game and the play clock penalty didn’t make matters easier on the 4th down play and no one had a chance for that final pass play…it was déjà vu from last year’s Seattle game with Clemmens ……but it was a good sign to see Sam on the sidelines with no crutches.

I hope Sam is affordable for the Rams next year. No doubt in my mind that the Rams are a much better team with Bradford

BTW I was really impressed with Philly today….until they had to manage the clock in the 4th qtr… They just couldn’t operate the offense to put the game away.

Rams need to play a complete game, but they 1st need a complete team.

Agree on Davis early. He was wild high. Thought he was going to get Quick or Cook killed.

Can’t agree with you on Bradford. That ship is the Titanic and it hit the iceberg.

21… Folks said the samething about Warner’s hand.

Don’t chase Bradford away like the Rams did with Bettis and Warner. The Titanic beat Russell Wilson and Kapernick in head to head games and has lots of life left.

There is no doubt in my mind that if Sam leaves he’ll haunt the Rams like Warner did.

    You were THERE.

Meaning, it’s obvious you were stating the obvious. So why state the obvious? (About stating the obvious). Of course, that’s obvious….

A qb controversy? You know…it might not be so bad.

If they draft a guy maybe they can make it 3.

QB controversies are only bad when they divide the team.

Fans? We were all going to fight about something ANYWAY.

Well it will be interesting to see if AustinD
is less and less ‘skittish’ at the start of Away Games
    as the season goes on.

And of course, can he close the deal
    in comeback situations.

    Something to watch for.

    If the Oline doesnt improve
he wont last the season though.
