Only five of PFT’s Hot 100 Free Agents remain unsigned
Cornerback Jerraud Powers signing with the Ravens Friday took one more off the board. The players on PFT’s Hot 100 Free Agent List are pretty much signed and committed for at least 2016.
Josh Norman’s brief free agency in April spiced things up, but this year’s top players went fast — and generally made a bunch of money. Powers coming off the board Friday left just five of the top 100 without a team for 2016.
The staredown between the Jets and quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick continues, leaving Fitzpatrick at No. 25 as the only player in the top 65 who hasn’t signed with a team or been retained via a tag or tender.
The others in the top 100 still on the market are No. 67 Mike Neal, No. 72 Greg Hardy, No. 78 Walter Thurmond and No. 98 Dashon Goldson. Thurmond has said he’s not sure he wants to continue playing, Goldson visited the Rams recently, and Hardy is Hardy. He’s even reportedly undergone counseling in an effort to convince teams he’s a changed man.
