Blinkscout game 8 vs Vikings …

Not with THREE BARRELS HE CAN’T!!!

Penalties, Injuries on the Offensive line, Injuries all over on Defense. Even so we almost pulled it out against a quality squad.

As far as the cheap shots … Yeah? They were close. You don’t want your QB hurt? Tell him not to run. Especially if he’s gonna slide late. Besides that it’s a 15 yard penalty and a fine. That’s the rule of the NFL.

The Good

1) Trumaine had a great pick. Really that was heads up and aggressive. Anyone know if we can tender him for a 3rd and let someone out bid us so we can get a draft pick? Or a 2nd?

2) Tavon is starting to get his vision right on those sweeps.

3) Britt’s contested catch downfield was inspiring.

4) GZ’s 61 yarder and his clutch kick at the end of regulation were solid.

5) The short yardage, 4th and 1, the interior of the line bulldozed the Vikings D Line. They are just bigger, so if it comes to sheer power it seems like we have a solid advantage.

6) Longacre was ready to go.

The Bad

7) Foles, first play of the game, why didn’t you throw it downtown? Wasn’t that the exact look you wanted?

8) Jenks caught going inside out twice.

9) Joyner, pull up. C’mon man. You know he’s going to slide.

10) Barnes, rough day man.

11) Need to get more pressure to make our defense work. Backup DEs aren’t gonna cut it.

12) Missed McDonald. Needed some thumps on Peterson as he broke through to the next level.

13) The two throws to Stedman looked like they had never played together.

14) Austin had to settle down and catch that. I know he tweaked something … but it hit his hands.

the Ugly

15) What was the plan as we came out in OT? Did we know what we were trying to do?

16) I don’t mind the 2 point try. I do mind a running play into a stiff defense with a second rate offensive line showing the way.

17) We were offsides How many times? 5? Was it 5?

18) The holding penalty on Tru when we had them backed up, ugh.
