for anybody who isn’t a Ram fan.

With Long’s status in doubt, Rams plan to start Robinson at LT in ’15
    by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com

(12:37 pm ET) While veteran tackle Jake Long’s status for 2015 remains up in the air as he returns from a second torn ACL in as many seasons, Rams coach Jeff Fisher indicated Greg Robinson will be the team’s starting left tackle next season.

“We’re going to wait and see for Jake and see how he’s feeling,” Fisher said. “He’s been in the building the last couple of days. All indications are that he wants to come back. Yeah, as we stand right now Greg’s going to be our left tackle.”

If Long decides to return next season, the Rams are already considering where he might play along the offensive line.

“Jake’s a good enough athlete that he could play — I’m not going to go out on a limb and say he could play center — but yeah, he could play guard or play right tackle, I believe,” Fisher said.

I need to read other threads before posting. The gist of this “breaking news” had been posted already in the recent OL thread.

Feel free to move this there if deemed appropriate.

Or, we could turn it into a thread about the personal lives of Ram players or even better 2015 NFL draft OT rankings as of December 6th.

Stanley will probably enter the draft. If he does, he is probably the #1 tackle. imo

I watched Mel Gordon, Mariotta, and Winston today and tonight. Winston kind of reminds me of McNair how he sets up and delivers the ball. McNair sat on the bench for a few season’s didn’t he? None of them made me drool. And, it was only parts of one game for each. I’d watched Mariotta a couple of times this season and still haven’t seen what the big deal is with him – probably because he doesn’t run a pro-style O where he sets up in the pocket and like I said, I didn’t see the whole game whenever I did watch Oregon.

He had 6 starts in his first 2 years.

Chris Chandler was ahead of him as the starter in 95 and 96.
