I saw this article in the St Paul paper today and it got me kind of pissed off. I heard some of the same on the radio coming home from work on Monday too. Seems like the Vikings (I live in MN) are looking past the Rams on week #1 and already worried about facing Brady, Brees, Ryan and Rodgers in the first five weeks of the season, AFTER playing the Rams. No mention of Bradford. To be fair, he hasn’t done enough to be included in a QB conversation with Brady and Brees. Maybe this is just the local press lowering everyone’s expectations, or maybe Sam and the Rams get no respect. I would just love to see Sam have a good start against the Vikings and THEN read about how they were overlooked.

Hey Snow. And/or everyone. Don’t use the “link” feature in posting a link. It just screws it up. Just paste the link right into the post box. It will be fine. I edited in one that will work–that’s all I did, just pasted it in without the link feature.

Well, to be fair, compared to Brady, Rodgers, and Brees, Sam shouldn’t be mentioned. The Vikes will try to run against the Rams, early and often, and then make play action passes, or very quick throws when they can.

But I don’t think the Vikes are looking past the Rams. They’ll be game-planning like crazy against the Rams. Especially the Rams D-line.

Let’s hope the Vikes secondary is terrible, and Britt/Quick and company can make some big plays against them. Then we’ll get to watch Quinn and company tee-off on Matt Cassell. Or whoever is gonna be their QB.

I’m more worried that we are looking past the Vikings, then the other way around

    Indeed.

To me, that game poses 2 significant challenges:

    1) Open the season fully prepared and full of fire.

    2) Contain the best RB in the league.

Crucial to pass that first test and get the season off to a big start. We have to carry wins and momentum into the SF game.

By virtue of the absurd ...
