In terms of pass attempts, last year the Rams were 30th. In terms of sack percentage, Rams were 3rd best.
So IMO the pass pro was real, regardless of the number of passes.
I have seen it said that the Rams threw short a lot and that accounts for the pass pro numbers. But percentage of passes thrown short can be measured too. So comparing the Rams (both Foles and CK), Vikes, and Hawks (since those are the teams already mentioned) —
Foles threw 70.6 % of his attempts 10 yards or under. He had a sack percentage of 4.0%
CK threw 52.8 % of his attempts 10 yards or under. He had a sack percentage.of 3.1%. That’s one of the best in the league.
Bridgewater threw 69.3 % of his attempts 10 yards or under. He had a sack percentage of 9% (horrifically bad).
Wilson threw 64.5 % of his attempts 10 yards or under. He had a sack percentage of 8.5% (really really bad)
The one who threw short the least of the 4 was CK, and he also had the lowest sack percentage.
All that strongly suggests that the Rams pass pro numbers were authentic.
