It’ll be interesting to see how long Seattle keeps that D together, once they have to pay Wilson a real salary.

And I believe Seattle’s DC is leaving soon.

Bradford won Offensive Rookie of the Year in the WCO, didn’t he? Shurmur, I believe, was the oc. Lots of dinking and dunking, and much easier defenses back then, but still…

…i wonder how a move would affect the players?
    Distraction? Problems? Pluses? Minuses?

Will they bring the equipment manager with them?

What if Fisher goes all Hollywood on us
and starts wearing a cape ?

The team is my only concern. I’ve lived in NC and VA my entire life, so I don’t care which city the Rams play in.

But moving a team is a huge deal. Lots of like distractions. And this team has enough problems as it is.

EDIT: I would enjoy the cape, though.

It was a gamble. A lot of decisions are probabilities. I think it was the best play the Rams had at that time. Whether it works out or not has to be factored in before you make the play. Then you hope things go your way. If it was a good bet, it goes your way often enough to pay off. If it doesn’t work out, doesn’t always mean it was a bad bet, or visa versa, a good bet. In Long’s case, it was the best bet that they had to make. They sort had to make it and hope it worked out. There was no other play close and they could afford it.

Yeah, I agree. I think it was one of Snisher’s “win now” moves. They could afford it, and it was the teams best shot at getting (what they hoped would be) a high quality LT.

If Bradford plays 16 games, they won’t finish 8-8. I’d guess 10 wins.

Of course, if I had wheels on my ass I could be a wagon.

So I guess we’ll see, but I have no faith that Bradford stays healthy.

Worst – Minn, and then Dallas. You can’t lose that Dallas game after being up 21-0. That Rams fumble right before the half lost that game. The Rams fell apart after that.

Best games were Denver, beating Seattle, and watching Kapernick and Harbaugh after they fumbled at the goal line.

He’s a playmaker. Smart, moves the chains, rarely hurts his team, seems to be a great leader in the huddle, too

We’ll see how good he is once the Seattle run game slows down, and the defense slips.

There’s some nasty math involved in trying get rid of Cutler. I’m not saying it won’t happen, but boy that’s a lot of money for a QB that looks like he never gives a damn about anything.

    The Rams aren’t touching him.

    Probably all of that.

    No big-time QBs.
    No big-play receivers.
Teams that run a lot (by today’s standards)
    Good defenses.

But mostly, I think you’d see bigger numbers for NFC West receivers if we had better passing QBs.

    I don’t know.

I think they’ll destroy the Giants. 26th on D? Bleh. We’ll run on’em, play-action pass, and then hammer Eli. I expect at least one pick-six.

I’d like to know what the contract situation is
    for the Rams/Bradford.
Is there any reason Bradford should/would take less money
    next year?
Are there any creative-cap-answers that could be worked out?

Mainly I wanna know WHY Bradford would accept
less money next year than he is already
guaranteed by the contract he and the Rams
    signed.

What leverage do the Rams have?
    What leverage does Sam have?

I wonder what Rams fans would say
in a poll where they had to pick between
bringing back Sam or bringing back S.Hill ?
I’m not sure which i would say
    is the priority.

I don’t know. Those are excellent questions, though.

I can’t see why Bradford would walk away from $16 Million, unless he does one of those “good for the team” deals, like Brady has done.

    Turnovers.

As for the O-line, Barksdale will certainly need to be sharper than last week, but the backs could stand to do a better job of picking up blitzes, or when an O-lineman whiffs.

Hopefully, if there are breakdowns in pass blocking, Hill with throw it away, or just take the sack. Sometimes a punt is a good play, especially for this team. The defense is playing well, our coverage units are good, and our punter is excellent.

If the play ain’t there, just eat it, and punt.

    No turnovers.

Oregon State’s Sean Mannion (6-5½, 220) drew the most praise among the seniors. He scored 36 on the 50-question Wonderlic intelligence test.
“More of a third-rounder,” one scout said. “Just lacks arm strength. Good size, good production.”

    This guy, maybe.

    v

Yeah. Tall and smart. He should be able to learn the game.

    Arm strength can be improved.

Not worried about mobility. If he can duck and dodge a little in the pocket, buy an extra second and throw the ball, that’s good enough.

The biggest difference is likely the bad decisions by Davis to hold onto the ball and take sacks or throw ill-advised passes returned for TDs.

    http://www.nfl.com/teams/st.louisrams/statistics?team=STL

    Yep.

    Davis: 29 sacks in 8 1/2 games.

    Hill: 6 sacks in 3 1/2 games.

    It’s this:

They’ve proven that they’re still a pain in the side of the Seahawks and 49ers and they’ve started to prove the notion that they’re a legitimate quarterback away from taking that proverbial next step.

That’s pretty much it for this team. Yeah, the O-line needs to stay healthy, but every team’s o-line needs that. It’s the same at every position.

The Rams need a good QB. Not great, just good. And he’s gotta stay on the field.

    Then we can talk playoffs.

Slowly, but surely, this team keeps getting better.

in reply to: Would you trade a 3rd or 4th round pick for RGIII? #12578

    I don’t know. A 4th, maybe… I just don’t know what his work attitude is.

He’s had injuries, that’s for certain, and people in the know are saying his mechanics are bad.

I think Snyder is part of the problem with that team, but he’s not on the field on Sundays. Griffin is. Snyder has certainly done his part to wreck that organization, though. Getting Griffin away from that organization could help him.

I doubt Washington shops Griffin, they’re so heavily invested in him. It’s so hard to just up and trade him. But benching him is a step in that direction. And who knows what the next off-season will bring.

I just don’t know… He could have a HUGE upside, but the downside is wasting a 4th rounder, and dealing with the media circus he brings with him.

Not even gonna get into the salary cap stuff with him and Bradford on the same team. Whew.
