I’m not trying to stir up anything but this last week makes me wonder about him. Is he truly trying to win or is it all a sham?

Seems like he’s playing the snidely whiplash role – to lose intentionally.

I don’t think he thought he had any chance to win when he first entered the race. I think he was running for the media exposure, and thought he could spend his campaign money on his own companies. Which he did.

Then, I think, his ego got the better of him once he took the lead. But all along, he has not taken campaigning seriously. He has brought in no real help, has no organization in his organization, morale is low on his staff (allegedly), and it doesn’t look good.

I don’t know. He certainly doesn’t act like a man who is seriously trying to win.

I agree with all that you said Zooey. His ego is too big to allow him to take advice from anyone. He beat an incredibly inept and unlikable group of people in the primaries by being an asshole, and he thinks this is how he will win the election against Hillary. He is in for an epic failure and he will blame everyone around him, but not himself.

The field of republican nominees, all 16 of them, were so weak, so pathetic, so unqualified, so unlikeable, so damaged that all Trump had to do was shine a light on their shortcomings. A conservative friend of mine in Vermont said you have to be an egomaniac to run for president, all the sane people who value their privacy, family life and a relatively normal existence will not run. There’s a lot of truth in that, though he feels Bernie was the exception, a real and well-meaning person.

“We thought we’d try to work a little bit — not just sit around on the couch and eat Cheez-Its all summer,” Keenum said. “I think we made a jump.”

As someone who sits around a lot eating Cheez-its I can testify to the fact that it’s probably not the best way to hone your skills as a QB. I’ve been eating Cheez-its for over 30 years and I’m no better a QB now than I was 30 years ago.

…The real challenge presumably lies in working around the restrictions Brady and his chef have imposed. There are certain ingredients Campbell absolutely won’t use when feeding the Brady clan. “No white sugar. No white flour. No MSG,” Campbell told Boston.com. “I’ll use raw olive oil, but I never cook with olive oil. I only cook with coconut oil. Fats like canola oil turn into trans fats. … I use Himalayan pink salt as the sodium. I never use iodized salt. “(Tom) doesn’t eat nightshades, because they’re not anti-inflammatory. So no tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms or eggplants. Tomatoes trickle in every now and then, but just maybe once a month. I’m very cautious about tomatoes. They cause inflammation.” Don’t expect to see Brady consuming coffee, caffeine, fungus or dairy anytime soon. The Pats QB also doesn’t eat much fruit, according to Campbell, though he’ll occasionally break his fruit ban every now and then for a nice banana smoothie…

Tom Brady is such a pretentious dick in everything he does, even the food that he puts into his precious, signal-calling pie hole. He needs to explain how Himalayan pink salt and raw olive oil helps him cheat.

Foles asked for his release from the team and the Rams acquiesced to the request, Garafolo reported. Foles immediately becomes a free agent. Los Angeles paid Foles a $6 million roster bonus in March.

I don’t remember when the Rams acquired the first pick in the draft. If it was before the March roster bonus, they wasted $6 million.

The real shit does not hit the fan until after both conventions have wrapped up and the campaigns can focus on negative ads against each other. All the convention theatrics with endorsements from the losers in the nomination process, trotting your family out to tell people what a great person you are, all of that is just foreplay to the real dirty business of running a campaign from August through October. The GOP will keep hammering on the “untrustworthy” and “liar” themes, but Trump is a far more unlikeable person. The Dems could run new ads on Trump as a crooked businessman, a flip-flopper on the issues, ignorant of foreign issues, someone who promotes gambling and low morals, etc… every week. It will be very ugly.

It’s always interesting to read what other people think about the Rams offense and defense, but I do not put much stock in it. Articles like this are part retrospective to last season, part projection to next season and loaded with assumptions. We will know what we have after four games, and then reassess again in week 10 or so.

How does a city build trust between cops and peepulz?

    http://therealnews.com/t2/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=31&Itemid=74&jumival=16710

“The City” is a big entity. It includes a lot of different people, business associations, interest groups, organizations. As a whole, I believe that American cities have trust with their police forces. The issue as I see it is that certain ethnic groups and local organizations do not trust the police. The question IMO is how to rebuild trust with those groups, those neighborhoods. I believe the key is an honest dialogue between the police and the neighborhoods and local organizations. Both sides need to understand how each other acts and reacts to each other, how both sides see each other that leads to the problems we have.

Wow, that’s impressive. I would think that the top spots go mainly to skill players on offense and sack leaders on defense.

Interesting question. Why do the other major sports have minor leagues or developmental leagues and pro football does not? Do the colleges fill that need? Physically they do, but so many of these kids come out early and need a lot of coaching to become productive starters.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. We had about 75 guests at our party, combination of neighbors, parents close to our daughter, coaches and girls from her gymnastics program and classmates. Her school also hosts an all-night “lock down” party for the seniors at the high school gym; a no-alcohol event with music and whatnot. Maybe we overdo it here!

Never mind the paint job and separation of the horns, the Rams should use real horns. Now that would be dynamite from a NFL marketing standpoint. I’m surprised Goodell has not thought of that yet. 🙂

Fisher did not elaborate on what role Bailey would have, just saying have him around to help out. Could be just for training camp or longer, could be as an assistant to one of the coaches, or just directing players around the practice field. But yeah, wv, he is an example of what not to do off the field.

Ozone, I am saddened about the loss of your wife and especially the frustrating circumstances in Italy. I lost two brothers to cancer in the last three years, one in hospice care at home and the other in a facility. It’s a terrible thing for the survivors to go through under normal circumstances. Don’t blame yourself.

I hope we as a nation have learned a few things over the past 35 years.

At least Ronnie didn’t get off on inciting violence through insults.

I trust Trump wants to get things done for working people. That alone is enough to get my vote.

This made me laugh out loud!

Because the joke is on you. Working people are fed up. Good jobs are what matters not the skin color or gender of a candidate.

I agree that working people who consider themselves republican are fed up. Fed up with their choices for the nomination so much that they vote for the loudest, angriest, political outsider on the ticket.
