RamsMaineiacKeymaster
RamsMaineiacKeymasterThe Rams are presently at $3,669,000 for their QBs (Foles, Keenum & Davis), which is fourth lowest in the league. At $43,620,156 for the total offense, no team in the league is currently spending less for their offense. By contrast, we are paying almost as much as for the entire offense as we are for just the defensive line ($43,479,272).
I am not a big fan of bargain shopping on QBs. It would seem to be an important position to invest in so I would support another QB in the mix, just in case Foles winds up being a one year investment.
RamsMaineiacKeymasterAccording to http://overthecap.com/calculator/st-louis-rams , if you cut Long and Wells and trade Bradford, we wind up with $25,984,097 in 2015, $70,115,005 in 2016 and $108,294,157 in 2017 for available cap.
So after spending about $1,542,000 on Foles and setting aside a few million on the draft, who we buying with the remaining $21 million plus on? Better not be saved for stadium cushions in LA. I am hoping they get busy (and productive) in either new signings or get busy with contract restructuring/extensions (FA16: Brockers, Sims, Barron, Zuerlein — FA17: Chris Long).

RamsMaineiacKeymasterThanks guys.
Had a great day and look forward to the new year. From a Rams perspective there is no where to go but up right? right?
All I want for my birthday is a Rams post season appearance in 2015/16. It has been far too long at 10 years running now — the fourth longest active drought behind the Browns (12), Raiders (12) and the Bills (15).
RamsMaineiacKeymasterPick em for Sunday’s games week 16 available.
Saturday games? who schedules Saturday games? 😉
Sorry about that. Worst pick em ever! That’s what I am going for.

RamsMaineiacKeymasterTechnically, couldn’t the Rams still finish ahead of the 49ers and thus alter their 2 games determined by place? (Washington, Tampa Bay would flip to Giants & Falcons likely)
RamsMaineiacKeymasterAll the remaining games for this wee are available for picking.
November 23, 2014 at 12:16 pm in reply to: pickem entry forms available for weeks 12, 13 and 14 #12374
RamsMaineiacKeymasterI had setup the entry forms do the next several weeks are available in advance at the Rams Huddle Pickem page.
I do not have a utility to add other peoples scores, but may be able to hack it JoeMad since you did send them in advance.
I agree on the backwards thing Dak… darn plugin was built for Soccer (e.g. the other football) and those darn Europeans do everything backwards. 😉

RamsMaineiacKeymasterEntry forms are now available… on the Huddle Pick’em Page.
RamsMaineiacKeymasterAs a note… I realized it was Thursday, or more accurately Football Thursday, about a quarter into tonights game, so it is not on the pick sheet for this week. Again, sorry.

RamsMaineiacKeymasterWe just need a few of these…
RamsMaineiacKeymasterIn looking at the last 30 Years of Rams…
- Better than Spagnuolo, Linehan & Knox Round 2.
- On par to slightly better than Brooks.
- Not at all as good as Martz, Robinson or Vermeil.
The division has returned to the difficulty level of the past (Linehan and Spags blew the opportunity to capitalize on a weak division), but the biggest concern to me is there has been no growth in output. You could point to improvements in play last year over his first season, but the outcome was exactly the same. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we were 6-7 wins this year and I am not sure if I will ever see Fischer coach a 10+ win Rams squad.
So all that said 6.28318530718, or 2x pi.
RamsMaineiacKeymasterThe login button at the top of the page has never toggled after you login.
Tried to figure out how to do it on this software a few times to no avail.
I did remove the mini icon the topic list and the forum list a few weeks ago, but that was a design decision not a bandwidth decision.
RamsMaineiacKeymasterFinal results for Week 2 are in and PA Ram fended off an early run by Zooey to hold on to his two point lead for the season.
Full Results can be seen here on the HUDDLE PICK’EM page.
The Week 3 Entry form is available. First game is Thursday Night.
RamsMaineiacKeymasterI just want to comment that Zooey seems to have made a late run but certainly the best man won.
I think we can all agree with that.
Signed,
PA Ram (a humble, gracious winner)
I just wanted to comment, you were the only “Rams fan” to pick the Vikings. Just sayin’.
RamsMaineiacKeymasterWhere is the link for week 2?
See this post
Good luck.

RamsMaineiacKeymasterBTW… because I didn’t know the answer…
Most consecutive seasons without a winning record, 20 seasons
New Orleans Saints: 1967-1986
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Football_League_records_(team)#Losses
RamsMaineiacKeymasterOh I agree there are reasons, just not reasons I am looking forward to seeing week in and week out.
After today’s performance, I am fairly convinced we will be experiencing the 12th consecutive season where the team does not post a winning record. That will be three seasons longer than the previous streak at 9 seasons and has to be right up their among all time streaks
It defies statistical randomness and is only more frustrating when the baseball team you support (Mets) just wrapped up their sixth straight losing season, one season short of their record streak of seven seasons.
RamsMaineiac needs some wins. 🙂
RamsMaineiacKeymasterWhat does your head or gut or both tell you?
My gut tells me to throw up. My head tells me throw up into a toilet. My wallet tells me, this may just be another $100+ per win season with the Sunday Ticket. 🙂
Bring on the soon to be 0-1 Buccaneers.

RamsMaineiacKeymaster“It’ll be a chess match.” – Gregg Williams on the #RamsOpener against the Minnesota Vikings
READ MORE: http://stlra.ms/1xmwnw7
Hopefully not a chess match like me playing chess against Magnus Carlsen, unless of course I am representing the Vikings and the Norwegian Grandmaster is representing the Rams, despite his nordic heritage.
RamsMaineiacKeymasterWell, i think most of us thought
the Seawhaks would crunch the Pack,
in Seattle.I picked with my heart in the Huddle Pick’em, and got that one wrong. Hopefully I will begin picking with the head and not the heart soon. 🙂
RamsMaineiacKeymasterIn a related story, ESPN is reporting that Rams players are are growing angry with Greg Robinson, as his deuces have resulted in clogged crappers three times this preseason. More on this story in the 10 o’clock report.

RamsMaineiacKeymasterHearing Fisher say, “We will rally around Shaun Hill”…
The parallelism of that, with Fisher replacing Vermeil…is just staggering.
I’m almost MORE excited now…
I said the same last night, in full sarcasm mode, when I thought it was a much less serious injury. I am disgusted and disappointed by the fact that sarcasm has become reality.
In such a competitive division, this is a season ender for the team IMO. As it was, Bradford would have had to have had a superior season to give them a chance. I see no way that Hill magically become a great QB after enough seasons to show he is average at best.
Another wasted season and the accompanying purchase from DirectTV to make it a financial waste too.

Much to do with it, and lots of styling needed, but wanted to see how the plugin worked.
July 24, 2014 at 1:02 pm in reply to: PD on Harlan (who's gettin some buzz), + Westbrooks/Bryant #2422
RamsMaineiacKeymasterAt 6 feet 4 and weighing 281 pounds, Deantre Harlan was a force in the middle of the Bacone College defense in Muskogee, Okla., during the 2012 and 2013 football seasons.
mmmm Bacon college…

RamsMaineiacKeymasterWhat caught my eye on this article was that he rated the NFC West teams 1, 3, 10 & 11. If his perception is anywhere near reality, that is a hella division to play in.
RamsMaineiacKeymasterI am hoping this is fixed. Please let me know if it persists.
