I guess never mind the fact the Rams worst years were not even in LA. Regardless of that small detail. Take a look at the roster during the years leading up to the move to St. Louis. TJ Rubley anyone? It wasn’t the location that catapulted the Rams in St. Louis. It was the roster stacked with future HOFers. I mean what your saying would mean that the GSOT wouldn’t have won if located in LA.
PancakeParticipantI wouldn’t blame the D. That was a winning effort in most games. They played lights out for 3 and a half quarters while the O played well for one drive.
PancakeParticipantAs a Californian, I have to say I would love to have this conversation. I don’t think it is likely to go anywhere. The Texas secession movement has been going much longer, and hasn’t topped out above 10%. (And, actually, I would be satisfied with Texas seceeding).
Here’s the thing. We really have had no say in anything for over a century. Our primaries happen after the outcome is determined. And we aren’t a swing state in the general election. Because of the despicable electoral college, and the primary schedule, our votes don’t really matter.
Meanwhile, we send more money to Washington DC than we receive from Washington DC. We subsidize you bastards. Our economy is bigger than France’s. Without you guys, we would still be the sixth largest economy in the world, and would still be a world player. All while not having to put up with the Bushes and Trumps of the world. We would be richer without you, we would still have international prestige without you, and we wouldn’t have Clarence Thomas. We would be Canada with good weather, Silicon Valley, and Hollywood.
You guys can go on with your cro-magnon ways – without our money – and everybody is happy.
I think the population would shrink dramatically and along with it the economy.
PancakeParticipant1. It the history of teams moving, only one had a winning record the year after a move. Say what you will, but, moving apparently subtracts from a team being ready. That’s the history.
They didn’t have winning records after the move because they were not good teams in the first place. If the move negatively affected teams they should have worse records the following year right? But that’s not really how it breaks down. There is no significant drop in record other than the 84 colts. They were just a bad team and didn’t have a winning season until 1987.
81 raiders were 7-9 and then went 8-1
83 colts were 7-9 and then were 4-12
87 cards were 7-8 and then were 7-9
94 raiders were 9-7 and then went 8-8
94 rams were 4-12 and then went 7-9
96 browns deactivated ——
96 oilers were 8-8 and then went 8-8PancakeParticipant38 million people in California. I don’t think it’s a stretch to think 3% of them are Ram fans.
PancakeParticipantWill it highlight the lies told to St. Louis by StanK and the NFL?
If they do they should make sure to highlight some of the lies told 20 years ago as well.
PancakeParticipantEvery off season teams have at least one player in contract limbo that they claim they want back and they are working on a deal but then end up parting ways. All the fans who bought those players jerseys and merchandise should sue then. They were all misled to thinking the player would be back.
PancakeParticipantAnd then there is a guy like Tony Romo who wasn’t drafted at all.
PancakeParticipantSo turns out Grits had it right way back when. I remember thinking he was nuts.
Interesting that it was reported the Miami and Panther owners were the 2 no votes. I guess Spanos and Davis voted against themselves at the end.
June 26, 2015 at 4:27 pm in reply to: If Fisher does not top 9-7 this year, does SK fire him? #26787PancakeParticipantI think so WV. I really do. I think the Rams have an elite Defense that can carry them pretty far this year. If the Offense clicks the Rams are going to be a scary team to face for everyone.
PancakeParticipantCondolences to you and your family ZN. Very touching words by your niece.
PancakeParticipantMy dad was watching the Rams one night when I was about 4 years old. I remember walking in and watching it but I had no clue what was going on. I thought all the guys on the field were purposely laying down so that the guy with the ball could run across there body’s and not get dirty. Cause I knew I would always get in trouble for getting grass stains on my nice clothes too so it made sense in my little head.
But the more I sat there and watched the more interesting it was to me. Might even say I was mesmerized. My dad started naming players off and told me about the fearsome foursome. I remember thinking what a cool name the fearsome foursome was and that I wanted my friends and I to start a club named that.
The clincher for me though was when I saw the horns. I never wavered from being a Rams fan from that day I saw those horns. Actually I might have second guessed my commitment when the Rams went to St.Louis but my boycott lasted about a minute into game one.

June 25, 2015 at 5:38 pm in reply to: If Fisher does not top 9-7 this year, does SK fire him? #26754PancakeParticipantI think SK gives Fisher a pass because of all the “moving” turmoil. I happen to believe the Rams are moving and who else is more experienced dealing with that scenario than Fisher. Nobody.
On the other hand I agree with WV that the team has turned the corner. At least from a talent stand point. I think the Rams will put up 10 wins this season and potentially more. We might be talking Fisher extension instead.
PancakeParticipantNoncontact anterior cruciate ligament injuries: risk factors and prevention strategies.
J Am Acad Orthop Surg. 2000 May-Jun;8(3):141-50.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10874221
Abstract
An estimated 80,000 anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears occur annually in the United States. The highest incidence is in individuals 15 to 25 years old who participate in pivoting sports. With an estimated cost for these injuries of almost a billion dollars per year, the ability to identify risk factors and develop prevention strategies has widespread health and fiscal importance. Seventy percent of ACL injuries occur in noncontact situations. The risk factors for non-contact ACL injuries fall into four distinct categories: environmental, anatomic, hormonal, and biomechanical. Early data on existing neuromuscular training programs suggest that enhancing body control may decrease ACL injuries in women. Further investigation is needed prior to instituting prevention programs related to the other risk factors.
..
Doesn’t that cost seem way off at $12,500,000.000 per injury? Or just an example of how ridiculous the cost of healthcare is?
PancakeParticipantI saw your post about leaving the “What happened to the Rams Buzz board” thread ZN.
It sounds great that your willing to leave the thread up so people can make a choice but what is not great is you going in after the fact and making changes to suit your agenda. Your modifying peoples posts including your own in order to shine a more appealing light on yourself and at the same time barring people from responding to the unethical changing of their words. It’s a new low. Really it is. In 20+ years of posting on various forums around the net I have never seen a moderator do what your doing in a locked thread.
As it is I think I’m the only guy who has access to post at all. You’ve banned everyone else because they called you out and started to spill the beans on what really happened. Private behind the scenes assaults by you are ok but publicly sharing what you did with others is a severe violation of forum rules. In other words your not fit to be a moderator.
zn note, added by edit: I have changed no one else’s posts, with the exception of dropping your statement that you expected to be banned. I have re-written my last 2, the one above and the one I keep putting at the end, and more than once…but the substance never changed, and if anything I just toned them down and made things more clear and less “heat of the moment.” I corrected one inaccurate statement by me from much earlier. The idea that I am changing anything beyond that is simply false.
PancakeParticipantDid ZN ever bother to mention to any of you when you were asking where the buzz was that he had been calling the owner a dick and accusing him of things?
I’ve read around and publicly he lets you guys think he had no clue. When he actually knew why the buzz was closed the entire time and he led you to believe he didn’t.
Bob built you a site and then gave it to you for free so you could have a place for your community. What did ZN do for you? What has he built for you? Not what has he gotten someone else to do for you but what has he himself done for you ever? You wouldn’t have a community at all if it wasn’t for people like Bob or RM.
You guys are wanderers because why? Because of the things you say and the way you act? I don’t think so. You move to a new forum every so many years because of one guys selfish and repeated actions not yours. Why are you guys attached at the hip? You don’t have to be. ZN would like you to think you have enemies bashing you on other boards but that’s a lie. There is no board war. There is no us against you. In fact it’s the complete opposite. Your names are mentioned in the context of wishing you would wake up and join our community. Get in touch with Boffo and ask him what he thinks. He found out who the real problem was. He’s a fine member of the ROD and gets along with all of us.
You should give other boards and other posting communities a chance instead of chaining yourself to ZN. You might find as Boffo did that sometimes the grass really is greener someplace else.
PancakeParticipantWhat’s up everyone? I want to chime in here. This is really none of my business. I wasn’t a member of the Buzz so it being shut down had no affect on me. Had I been a member I might have been a little upset to find my home posting grounds disappeared over night. Having said that I hope you guys don’t forget that Bob took his time and efforts to build the Buzz for you in the first place. He wasn’t obligated to do so nor was he obligated to maintain it forever. He’s a decent guy who deserves some respect in the way that you intend on treating him here. How or why the Buzz was shut down is known only by Bob. Everyone else would just be assuming.
