Wonder what that bottle of pills is over his left shoulder?
Contributing to the opiod crisis?
NewMexicoRamParticipantWhy not? What have the experts ever brought to the table but failed picks, failed trades and losing seasons? I suggest this slogan on all jerseys, Making The Rams Great Again.

Here you go:
NewMexicoRamParticipantGoff just needs someone who knows what they are doing. I see 2016 like Peyton Manning’s first year. Lumps and bumps and plenty of mistakes.
Gurley had a bad year, both personally and from too many greetings from D-linesmen in the backfield. A good O-line is needed. To me, that is priority #1 for the off-season, even 2018 off-season, a new O-line with 2 new vets and a new O-line coach.
WR’s may have to wait. If Spruce can stay healthy, he will provide some excitement and dependability.
For defense, I can’t see doing much this off-season except re-signing guys and getting someone for DE.
The Goff trade has hindered re-building this year, but next year we should be fine.

Not the way some talk about global warming.
(Sorry, just had to throw that out there as a JOKE. Just a joke. I’m not going to enter into a discussion about the global warming argument).
December 29, 2016 at 12:34 pm in reply to: Finland to begin paying basic income to unemployed citizens #61994NewMexicoRamParticipantFinland is to introduce a basic income for some citizens from next month, becoming the first country to adopt the policy.
Two thousand unemployed people will be given €560 (£480) every month for two years, without any restrictions or conditions attached. Leaders hope the move will improve life quality, reduce unemployment and create jobs.
Recipients will not need to prove they are looking for work and the money will be given regardless of any other income the person earns.
The Finnish government is planning to study whether the policy helps recipients find work. It suspects many unemployed people are put off getting a job because they will lose unemployment benefits and therefore be worse off financially – a similar problem to that which tax credits were designed to solve in the UK.
The Swedish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health said in a statement: “The Government proposes the implementation of a basic income experiment. The experiment [will] be carried out in 2017 and 2018, and its aim is to show whether basic income can be used to reform social security so that incentive traps relating to work are eliminated.
“The primary goal of the basic income experiment is related to promoting employment. The experiment, including follow-up research, aims to find out whether basic income promotes employment.”

Could someone help me out with this?
Doesn’t this seem like unemployment insurance payments?
How is this any different?
December 29, 2016 at 12:21 pm in reply to: Trump set up two companies in Russia's favorite offshoremoney laundering locale #61992NewMexicoRamParticipantDoesn’t seem good, I agree.
And Hillary had her foundation contributors from sleazy countries as well.
I’m not throwing up a straw man. Just saying that people who are famous enough to run for President will all have their problems and areas of concern for the rest of us. I think this election highlighted that more than any other.
We need to keep our eyes open no matter who is in the Oval Office. I’m sure the press will return to doing its job again, better than they did with Obama.
NewMexicoRamParticipantThat experiment was incomplete.
Why didn’t they do the same with the “liberals” as they did with the “conservatives”?
That is, use a false article that “liberals” would agree with and then show them a truthful article that challenged their views.
The outcome would probably be the same, but it would show a better light on conservatives than running the experiment on a one-way street.
December 29, 2016 at 12:11 pm in reply to: The temperature of the planets of our solar system #61990NewMexicoRamParticipantSo, does this make you feel better about your upcoming Mars trip?
NewMexicoRamParticipantStill digesting what this year means. I (and a lot of you) thought that the Rams were going to content for at least a Wild Card spot.
Instead, we got this.
Specials are the only area where I think we have sound coaching, and I’d love to see them keep Fassel, but if they purge the entire coaching staff, I’ll be fine with it.
If I were the owner, I’d direct Fassel to sit Goff and play Mannion for this last game; Goff will be in an entirely new O next year, let Mannion audition for the number 2 next year.
_______________________________________________
And if Mannion puts up 28 points?
That would make Goff look really bad and make for a horrible public relations spectacle going forward.
NewMexicoRamParticipantI say it’s possible.
Part of the team seems to have given up. Maybe they show up for this one.
________________________________________________________
Definitely possible.
But Boras is still OC.
Not likely, then.
NewMexicoRamParticipantAny SB with NE in it is a total waste for me.
Dallas hasn’t been there for a long time, so it wouldn’t bother me nearly as much.
I’d like to see KC and Detroit. Won’t happen.
NewMexicoRamParticipantHow about an inexpensive rookie?
One of these 2 may do at least as well as Zman:Daniel Carlson*, K, Auburn
Height: 6-4. Weight: 218.
Projected Round (2017): 4-6.
12/24/16: Carlson is a 26-of-30 this season, including four field goals from over 50 yards away. His long this year is 53 yards, and he has connected from that distance twice. Carlson is having a phenomenal season and is 4-of-7 in the 50-yard range and a perfect 6-for-6 in the 40-yard range.8/20/16: Carlson was 23-for-27 (85 percent) as a sophomore in 2015. He made all 40 of his extra points. He showed his strength with a long field goal of 56 yards. As a freshman he was 18-of-24 (75 percent). He hasn’t missed an extra point entering his junior year.
Zane Gonzalez, K, Arizona State
Height: 6-1. Weight: 190.
Projected Round (2017): 4-6.
12/24/16: Gonzalez was extremely accurate in 2016, connecting on 23-of-25 field goal attempts. He also was very good from long range, hitting 6-of-9 from 50+ yards. One of those was a 59-yard field goal. Gonzalez wasn’t as accurate as a junior (26-of-34), but he had good seasons as a sophomore (22-of-27) and a freshman (25-of-30).Read more at http://walterfootball.com/draft2017K.php#dujYpEW94Jw3qlJj.99

NewMexicoRamParticipantSo, are there ANY countries out there WITHOUT homelessness?
I don’t think so.
I’ve been to Canada, England, India, Thailand, Belize, and Haiti.
All had homelessness.
I guess ALL nations have failed. NO nation has an answer.
This is an eternal problem. Yes, we need to help, but even handouts, as this gentleman engaged in, is not the answer.
I’m not giving excuses for the problem. But just criticizing people isn’t the answer either.
————–
Well, we agree that ‘charity’ or to use your word ‘handouts’ are not the answer. The answer would be change the unjust-system to a just-system.
“Homelessness” to me, btw, doesnt literally mean without a home — when i use the word i just mean ‘poverty stricken’. Gandhi said poverty is a type of ‘violence’ inflicted on people by a system. I agree. And yes, some nations do a much better job dealing with inequality/poverty than others.

Because you step on their throats when they’re down. It’s kind of like the Rams leading the 9ers by 14 and how the Rams pull out all the stops to crush the 9ers because…huh? Wha? Must have been a glitch in the Matrix. Of course the Rams don’t crush them–they wait for the other team to catch up. That’s the Rams way.
I LOVE YOU ANDY REID!!!!!!!!
There–I said it.
He’s the coach of my dreams.
Don’t judge me.

The coach of my dreams?
Bill Belichick.I only dream nightmares.
NewMexicoRamParticipantOne thing I am sure about: The kid MUST gain good weight, muscle up, and work all offseason doing this. He’s a bean pole, and that makes him less effective as a passer, a runner and especially in absorbing hits. If the Rams don’t get him a personal trainer, they’re flat out stupid . . . and he should hire one on his own as well. Put a gym in his house and use it, daily. He can afford it.
I agree with that. Goff needs to get a little bigger. He won’t last.
I am not going to freak out about Goff just yet. We’ll see how he looks next year.
GURLEY does concern me. I hope we see the First Year Todd Gurley next year. Because if THIS one shows up again? Well–it won’t be good for Goff.
Agreed. Goff will be fine. The Rams just need to get a better coaching staff.
Gurley. We need a better O-line. Not a perfect one. We saw last year what he can do even with an imperfect line. Get a good line, and he’ll be a star. Get a great line…..oh, man.December 23, 2016 at 9:36 am in reply to: Female Hildabeast supporters lose their libido due to loss to Trump. #61584NewMexicoRamParticipantWell, does that mean fewer leftists will be born and conservative home-schooled families with 8 kids will take over the future of American politcs?

Liberal is centrist to you?Wow. Why should I go any further with this?
NewMexicoRamParticipantWell I dunno. I dont know what you mean by ‘leftist bias’.
It’s bs.
If you look at any normal faculty ratio there are invariably as many conservatives as leftists if not more.
This is the kind of thing said by people who swallow Limbaugh nonsense whole and do not really know the situation they’re trying to talk about.
I know for a real hardcore fact it’s bs.
…
Proof please.
Yea. It’s all over the internet with stories about how conservatives are limited in their right to express on campuses.
I’m not going to research it for you guys. You have fingers to type, and like I said, I’m too busy to do very much on the net right now.December 22, 2016 at 9:58 am in reply to: Bonsignore tweets: Chargers may rebrand if they move to LA #61505NewMexicoRamParticipantMaybe they should keep the Chargers moniker.

Wouldn’t be the first time we will have seen something happen like that.
🙂NewMexicoRamParticipant————
Enh. In law school i had professors who were open about being conservative and i had professors who were open about being liberals and it didnt matter to me either way. I appreciated their honesty.

v[/quote]
My point exactly. Just to pinpoint my thought, let me add that free discussion should be allowed on both sides. Of course, a prof needs to run their class, they can’t have a Plato discussion every day, but don’t ostracize people because of their opinions, which many campuses are doing, mostly with a leftist bias.
NewMexicoRamParticipantAw the little professors don’t like being called out for wasting classroom time spouting their personal political beliefs. Too bad. So not sad.
IMO, any college who hides behind “tolerance” to eliminate real free speech should have its federal student loan program revoked. No free speech zones or sensitivity safe campuses. Return to what free speech is all about. Just like this forum. We can disagree with each other here. We may not like what someone else says, but we can agree to disagree.
Well, it CAN’T be free speech if you are threatening to take money away from the program.
The problem is – who decides what is “hiding behind tolerance?” Because the people in charge of determining that are necessarily going to be political.
C’mon. You know colleges have had a hayday in restricting free speech on campus. And they collect federal money. It’s time to call them out. If they want federal funding, then remove this ridiculous limitation of free speech.
NewMexicoRamParticipantWatch again next year. And hope for better days.

NewMexicoRamParticipantI WANT Fisher gone.
I THINK he will be gone January 3, 2017 (Kroenke has to get over his hangover first).December 7, 2016 at 11:31 pm in reply to: informal poll: what's wrong with the offense, can it pick up? #60538NewMexicoRamParticipant1. Coaching. Fisher doesn’t know offense so he has poor ability to monitor the OC.
2. O-line. My pet peeve for over the last 10 years. Our new HC must know how to develop an O-line, as well as his OC and OL coaches.
3. Defense. I’m not sure what is wrong. But to have such a roller coaster isn’t right.NewMexicoRamParticipantOK, I’m cutting back in to make one last comment.
I know the GOP increased the use of fillibusters. I knew that when I posted my link. I believe that to be the result of a president who tried to force things through rather than negotiate. He is the one who said “elections have consequences.” That should be a red flag for any party to hear. I want to see a President who will take the time to discuss with the other side and find ways to compromise
————-
Well you are coming at that from a point of view on the ‘right’. You know how us leftists see it? — Obama didnt fight hard enough for ANYTHING. He was MR COMPROMISE. Or actually MR THROW IN THE TOWEL WITHOUT FIGHTING FOR ANYTHING. Honestly thats how leftists view him.
So, different ‘truths’ based on where we stand politically.
Different views.
w
v___________________________________________________
So, you’re saying it’s ok for the “right” to compromise, but not the “left?”
See, I don’t see compromise as “throwing in the towel.” I see it as negotiation. Both sides get something out of it they can both feel good about (again, remember I know there are more than 2 sides to politics, but bear with me please). Just pushing and ramming through things all the time is tiring and creates friction before the next fight even begins. IMO, this is where Obama failed as a President.
I know extreme rightists will be disappointed in Trump and probably say the same thing about him, that he will “give in” too quickly and not fight. Just watch.
NewMexicoRamParticipantOK, I’m cutting back in to make one last comment.

He is the one who said “elections have consequences.” That should be a red flag for any party to hear. I want to see a President who will take the time to discuss with the other side and find ways to compromise. That’s the way things get done. I believe we are seeing Trump begin to do that. Maybe I’ll be proven wrong, but I doubt it. I’m ok with the fact that the GOP won’t get everything they want. And the left should feel the same.
And I’m sure there are over 300 million ways in this country to take positions on an issue. Somehow, over our history, this has boiled down to 2 major parties instead of the 3,4,5 or whatever numbers of positions there are. It works as a 2 “position” platform for the most part, with each party having its disagreements within their ranks. But it still works as a big awkward 2 party system. So, while I respect the opinions of everyone here and their multiple sides, 2 parties is what is largely seen in public and I’ll use terminology that fits as best it can within that, hoping people realize I know there are a multitude of opinions and positions.
I am not going to be a guy who takes his ball and bat and goes home whining. Please don’t think that of me. But I want to see discussions that recognize none of us are perfect, no party or position is perfect, and we live with flaws. I can respect the positions of others here, while disagreeing. But let’s not use “they always, or never” and terminology like that, please. If there are multitudes of positions, please recognize that in “the other side” as well. I tend to vote GOP, but believe me, there are things that frighten me about doing so. I just hope and pray that the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness can continue for years to come.
NewMexicoRamParticipantOh, that’s a good one, WV!
