Adam Schefter, on ESPN, is saying that much of the leniency serves from Rice’s meeting with Roger Goodell, in which Rice reportedly “showed him more videotape than… everybody has seen.” I am forced to wonder what mitigating circumstances could possibly be found in a video that indisputably ends with Rice knocking out his fiancée.

laramParticipantBy the way the Rams should have beat that Williams defense with Kellen Clemens at qb.
Stacy had 127 yds rushing and Clemens had some success passing against them as well.
If not for some missed opportunities and bad run defense, the Rams win that game going away.
The Titans defense was horrible the year before, so any improvement was noticeable.
I don’t like coaches who did what he did. I’m not impressed.
Laram
laramParticipantOf course it applies as to whether his individual skills got better, or a scheme fit.
And unless Williams was down on the field working with the players individually, the “word” means nothing.
Laram
laramParticipantYes I know that and Tenny also ran a lot of zone which helped Verner. He’s supposedly not that good in man which is why the Rams were not interested, supposedly.
I’m not sure how much effect you can have on an individual development level, as a consultant.
I have heard that Williams IS a teacher so hopefully he can help him.
We’ll see.

laramParticipantI’m hoping for the pass rush to help the corners look better than they are.
Jenks fundamentals are horrid and Tru is a limited corner in respect to the types of receivers he can cover.
If I were an offense, I would put a big on Jenks and speed on Tru’s side.
You can do that since they don’t travel.
IF you have both you have an advantage.

laramParticipantYou have to fail three drug tests before you’re punished by the NFL, Invader.
Again, I don’t know what actually happened, but I find it hard to believe that Goodell would see a tape of a player knocking a woman out, and only give him a two game suspension.
The NFL has a billion dollar image to uphold.
I also find it hard to believe that the police have such a video that has not been leaked.
In today’s all access age, TMZ would have it by now.
I dunno.
Laram
laramParticipantGreat report as usual.
What do you see when you watch Barrett Robbins?
I don’t think he’ll be much of a player at this level.
What say you?
Laram
laramParticipantMaybe she was wildly throwing punches at him, and in an attempt to control her he knocked her back, she hit her head and was knocked unconscious.
The point is…I don’t KNOW what happened, therefore I’m not going to cast judgement.
Things aren’t always as they appear.
Laram
laramParticipantMaybe Goodell has more information about what actually happened than the general public.
The video got us no closer to the truth.
Laram
laramParticipantWere those BIG games?

I went over and interviewed Deacon for the Herd Chat. Because he could barely use his hands, I had to type out all of his answers. Deacon Jones was one of the most fascinating and engaging people I have ever known.

I sent her a note after I heard and her response.
It was amazing! I hope you are doing well also and thank you for checking in.

laramParticipantYep, me too.
I’ve written about the OC until I’m blue in the face, no need for more from me.
The OC is more than good enough to win with.
The team needs to step up and make the plays.
Better execution, and this team will win 10 games. Easily.
Laram
laramParticipantNo that’s not what I’m saying, Bradford has better arm talent, but they all present certain challenges.
I would be happy to be proven wrong.
Very happy.
Laram
laramParticipantAnd a fine conversation starter it was.
Clemens, Sanchez and Bradford. Oh and Chad Pennington with a blown out arm.
If a good coach is suppose to cater to the strengths of his players…there ya go!
