Trump has been out front in promoting women and minorities yet he’s constantly called a racist. Thats why.

Oh, for chrissakes. He has said that the Mexicans coming here are the worst society has to offer. “When Mexico sends you its people, they’re not sending their best…They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”

Never mind that Mexico isn’t “sending” anybody, that statement is appalling, and there is no way to get out of the fact that it is racist. And inflammatory.

He wants to ban ALL Muslims from coming to the US. There are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world, and estimates are that 70,000 – 100,000 of them support ISIS. That is racist.

    So he employs some Latinos.

That’s supposed to exonerate him from charges of racism?

Hell, plenty of plantation owners employed black people after the Civil War.

Mexico IS sending people across the border. The Mexican government wants the US$$$$ sent back to Mexico to prop up their economy.

When the FBI states that they can’t vet these people then a timeout is justified until they can. Trump also asks why doesn’t the countries in that part of the world take in these refugees?

Keep up with the racism stuff because it doesn’t work any more.

It’s a good thing for you that you are not a federal prosecutor. The claim that a deletion of gov’t emails in and of itself is a crime would immediately be thrown out of court and you might be looking for other work. What is a crime is when the emails at issue are intentionally deleted with the purpose in mind to conceal evidence or to hinder an investigation. As the FBI Director stated there is no evidence than any of the thousands of deleted emails -both personal and work related-were deleted with such a purpose in mind. You can surmise and opine about the reasons why emails were deleted but prosecutions are based on factual evidence not opinion and or speculation.

BS. Comey was compromised. This is justice since Comey detailed that she lied numerous times yet didn’t mean too? Wow. What type of precedent do you think this has set for all those handling any federal documents or records? Try to remove your partisan hat while answering, please.

Look-I’m just telling you what the law is and how the law applied to the actual facts determined by an investigation. That’s all. If you want to go on and on about your opinion as to the process fine-but you clearly don’t understand the law on this subject. And that’s fine to. I suspect most people don’t.

And that includes legal experts too. Hildabeast is a lawyer but doesn’t know about the Federal Records Act? What type of precedent do you think this will set for all those handling any federal documents or records? Again remove partisan hat, please.

Trump has been out front in promoting women and minorities yet he’s constantly called a racist. Thats why.

    —————-

OK, i get where you are coming from. And fwiw, I am not one of the ones banging the “trump is a racist” drum. I suspect he is much more of a “nationalist” than a racist. But then Nationalism is as loathsome to me as racism.

I think we will see all kinds of stories about Trump NOT being a racist because he hired a new PR guy a coupla weeks ago, and his new handlers are trying to repackage him as ‘kinder and gentler’ and more sensitive. Its typical political crappolla, and it may or may not work.

I’d like to see Trump judged solely on his POLICIES btw. I dont get into the “hes a racist” and “he’s a sexist” stuff. I do think there’s “something” there, but I think he’s a mixed bag on race/sex stuff.

I think you will agree, Trumps biggest problem is to expand outside his “white male” base. He’s gonna have to convince some women and minorities he’s not a sexist/racist.

What do you think of Trumps recent conversion to evangelical-jesus-luv ? Surely, you dont buy into that ?

    w
    v

His promoting women to unheard of positions of power within the building contractor community dates back to the early ’80s. His breaking barriers within the country club set was done so at risk of becoming a pariah within that set. That sets him far apart from those that risk nothing within their circle.

Sure he’s a nationalist. Every president should be.

You say you think theres something there that he’s a sexist despite his record promoting women to jobs of substance? Despite the New York Times hit piece that utterly failed to portray him as a sexist? You know the 20 page hit piece that so enraged the woman highlighted that she called a press conference to denounce the hit piece and the authors who she claimed lied to her about the hit piece? Could it simply be that he is rich and when single likes to date gorgeous looking women? Oh the horror.

Trump’s biggest challenge will be to stay on topic that Hildabeast is a liar and the justice system is to hold we to task not she. That hypocrisy crosses all hyphenated political divisions and invades peoples soul like a devouring parasite out only for Number 1. I called it a few days ago that if she got a pass on the slam dunk crimes committed in the email scandal that Trump will win in November.

I do not believe Trump is a particularly religious man and I suspect he is playing for a particular crowd.

Well, even if one enters the reality-tunnel of that writer, and even if one tries to find some logic in his article, it doesn’t demonstrate that Trump is not a racist. I mean, for example, one could love Jews and still be anti-muslim, right?

Also this: “…the American Left was on-record supporting slavery, segregation, lynching and, as noted by historians…”

Linking the so-called ‘left’ to slavery and lynching is kinda meaningless because it lacks any context. I mean in the 1850’s you had all kinds of mainstream people supporting slavery. It wasn’t a ‘left vs right’ thing. And in the 1910’s and 20’s you had plenty of Dems and plenty of Reps supporting lynching of minorities. It wasn’t a ‘left vs right’ thing. It was an American thing.

    It’s out.

I didn’t see that. Thanks. Will be interesting if there’s some reports on the content of those e-mails.
Comey’s commentary was strange. He says there isn’t anything but careless handling of the server, but the law seems to include that as a means to prosecute. Think the Hillary/Bill hit man team had any pressure on Comey? I’m being somewhat facetious, but Comey probably knows more about that history than we do. He just sounded conflicted, maybe he was told to stop the process?

No-the law does not include “carelessness” as a crime. What’s needed is the “mens rea” to prosecute-meaning a criminal “intent” to harm another or another’s property-in this case the U.S. There never has been any such evidence uncovered. At best this may go to competency but most certainly not criminal behavior. We don’t throw people to the gallows for doing stupid things. If she used her personal emails to keep abreast of stuff that may have been classified material-that was stupid not criminal.

BS. Deleting emails is destroying government property. Extreme carelessness is a criminal offense for we but not for she. That includes all who participated in the email scandal which includes Obama.

The best gift ever to the Trump campaign. The hypocrisy of the insider for all to see. And it is so easy to see. Trump will ride this latest outrage to victory.

I hear that Wikileaks says they will soon have a major release regarding Hillary and the e-mails.
The bomb could fall yet. If so, that would be especially bad for the Dems if release after the convention.

Comey was sweating like someone who was reminded of some of his phone calls or emails. So everyone don’t do what Hildabeast and crew did because from here on out it is bad! It was bad before too. The precedent is outrageous. Justice for thee but not for she. If this is the year of the outsider she just smiled her way out of the White House.

Comanche prized mobility. So much so that they simply failed to understand jails and prisons—the comanche had a fierce reputation for torturing prisoners, and saw nothing wrong with that, but to them, locking someone up in a closed space meant they were not being regarded as human. Take away a man’s ability to move freely, and he was no longer really a person.

So the Comanche tortured free range prisoners?

Are you a farmer? I respect that line of work a great deal. Small farmers, especially. Not that I have anything against really tall farmers. Or care about that one way or another.

Anyway, I wish America could go back to being a nation of small, family farms, self-employed artisans, craftspersons and direct producers.

I’ve always had a garden. Almost always raised beds. Other than chemical fertilizers no pesticides, herbicides, fungicides. Scratched it all out of nothing. Terrible soil to start with. Been working on it for 20 years. Over 30 fruit trees, grapes, thornless blackberries, asparagus, hops.

But why, bnw, would you think Trump has any intention of helping working people? He has absolutely no history of doing so. None. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. He’s made his fortune from screwing them over, and outsources the vast majority of his own manufacturing jobs.

He calls for steep tax cuts on the rich, which means he will make a fortune from his own government policies. He will personally be enriched by his actions. He calls for a top rate of 25%, which will net him millions of extra dollars a year. Plus, no more estate tax, which will net his children tens of millions extra.

There is no evidence in the history of American economics whereby tax cuts for the rich have ever — and I mean ever — helped working people. The rich have always just kept that money and increased the gap between themselves and their workers. There is absolutely no case in our history wherein tax cuts for the rich have resulted in a decrease in the gap between rich and poor.

Seriously, why do you have such faith in him? What has he ever done to earn your trust?

He hasn’t lied to me. He hasn’t enriched himself via government ‘service’. He stands for much of the Buchanan 2000 agenda which has been proven to be prescient. People have had enough.

Trump’s latest take on trade is a scam. He claims to be offering a path for workers, but is actually just offering mostly empty boxes on trade. What exactly is he trying to accomplish with renegotiated trade deals? And if is he so keen to help working people, why does he then steer the discussion back toward the traditional corporate agenda of tax cuts for corporations and the rich? Some pro-worker, anti-elite populist Trump is.

More BS. Renegotiate trade deals is a given since the history since NAFTA has been the US worker taking repeated hits to the crotch. The TPP is no different. Written by and for special interests kept secret from congress and the american people. Of course it has to be renegotiated. If better term for the US worker are not to be had then withdraw. Our economy is still supreme. Tax cuts for corporations and the rich are likely the incentives to get money held offshore to be brought back to the US for investment within the US to create jobs.

I love the fear Trump engenders in all the know it alls who have been so wrong about him and his campaign. The fear that he isn’t owned. The fear of the broom and the antiseptic properties of sunlight scattering the establishment and their K-Street roaches brethren out of their entrenched privilege. Great stuff. True change is coming and that isn’t Hildabeast or any other democrat or republican other than Trump. When Hildabeast evades the law for the email scandal Trump will ride that hypocrisy to victory.

There’s a fine line between expressing strong opinions about political issues in a straightforward way, and then just getting into antagonistic and/or provocative language. Even if you believe it. Not sure where that line is, myself. Maybe toss in a few “in my view” kind of phrases.

There is no shame in being totally ugly nowadays. I think that has changed. I think society used to bite its lip a bit before saying ugly things. The fault lines were there, maybe the contempt. But it wasn’t said out loud in polite company.

It IS said out loud now. It’s almost a matter of PRIDE to say ugly things now. A bravado that is commonly mistaken for bravery.

And we have congress flat out refusing to do its job, and unabashedly saying things that are demonstrably false.

I heard on the radio this morning a couple of hosts talking about a guy who accosted Izzy Azalea – whoever that is – at an airport terminal. He approached her (him? Her, I think) and recorded the encounter, asking, “Are you Izzie Azalea?” and she said, “Yes, I am,” or something in a polite and friendly way, and he says, “How does it feel to have single-handedly ruined hip-hop?”

    Paraphrasing.

And I thought, “What kind of dick would do something like that?” And he must have been so proud of himself that he uploaded it, or these DJs wouldn’t have known, right? So we live in an era when being a dickhead is actually admired.
