Of course I’m talking about our Rams. I’m going to say Tanzel Smart. I felt we got a steal with this kid. I pegged him as a third rounder, and got him later. Great pick. But overall, I still give the draft a D. If it were not for the Smart pick, it would have been a D-.

To be honest? I like every player in this draft.

The only one I have some doubts about is Reynolds. Not sure how he fits and not sure if he translates.

However, it is POSSIBLE they got 5 starters from this draft. Depending on how you count starters with an offense that will rotate in and out of different formations. I mean btw longterm starters, not all starters as rookies. Though this depends on the day you ask me, I count Everett, Kupp, Johnson, Ebukam, and (depending on how much they use him so again depending on what you mean by “starter”) also Rogers.

If that happens, you know how rare it is to get 5 starters from one draft. And this is without a 1st round pick.

Over the years going back to 1967 (50 years), how many times have the Rams gotten at least 4 starters from one draft? (Though remember, previously, they had 1st round picks).

73: Bryant, Jawarski, Youngblood, Nelson, Jones
75: Fanning, Harrah, France, Jackson, Perry, Haden
77: Brudzinski, Cromwell, Waddy, Tyler, Ferragamo
    80: Johnson, Pankey, Irvin, Guman
83: Dickerson, Ellard, Wilcher, Newsome, Reed
    85: Gray, Hatcher, Greene, Love
94: Gandy, Bruce, Wright, Lyle (+ UDFA Farr)
98: Wistrom, Holcombe, Little, Williams (+ UDFAs Fletcher, Horne, and Jenkins)
    05: Barron, Bartell, Atogwe, Incognito
12: Brockers, Jenkins, Johnson, and Zuerlein. (+ UDFA McCleod)
    13: Austin, Ogletree, McDonald, Stacy

+ 78 if you count UDFA Doug Smith. The other 3 from 78 are Thomas, Slater, and Ekern.

I like Kupp the best but I like the entire draft. The only thing that concerns me is the level of competition some of these guys faced.

Gerald Everett – better version of Kendricks
    Cooper Kupp – solid starter
    John Johnson – solid starter
    Josh Reynolds – solid starter
    Samson Ebukam – solid starter
————— any of these guys and any udfas that make the team are a big plus. imo
Tanzel Smart – solid starter or good rotational player
    Ejaun Price – Ok starter
    Sam Rogers – Harkey replacement
A solid fill in the gaps draft. More of a fit than a talent draft. Still, a better than average draft. A maintain the roster draft of a roster that is already good.

I don’t have a favorite player. Well, maybe Kupp. Nah, it has got to be Mannion. 😉

For me…it has to be Kupp.

Seems to me this guy is a very hard worker, determined, and self confident…all qualities that lead to success.

A close second would be Reynolds and Jones…players I’m very interested to watch.
