For us, it’s cheesesteaks and tastykake cupcakes. Those are both Philly things.

I must confess that I’m not a huge cheesesteak fan–at least the way they make them in Philly which involves minute steaks and a cheese whiz option.

I live in a Philly suburb and here in the magical land of Berks County we eat are steak sandwiches with a tomato sauce on top. Delicious. But today–my wife insists we go traditional.

Tastykake cupcakes are great but not as great as when I was a kid. Still, pretty good though.

My wife thinks she’s a big fan because she doesn’t pay two minutes of attention to football but bought a Wentz jersey this year.

So anyway–it’s cheesesteaks today.

And cupcakes.

I am not sure I will be eating.

Patz are in another superbowl. That is an unalterable fact.

Why would I eat. It only encourages them.

I went to Subway. Got myself a sirachi steak melt with pepperjack cheese, jalapenos, spinach, guacamole, pickles, cucumbers, oregano, and parmesan. I had it on a foot long, honey oat roll. Plus, I had to get three cookies, since I found out the cinnamon buns were only a limited time. I thinking of writing a petition to bring back the cinnamon buns back at Subway. Who is with me?

When I was a teen I could down a box of Tasty Cakes with a carton of milk in one sitting.

Unfortunately the super market doesn’t always have them here in VT. But you’re right, they aren’t as good as they were when I was a kid.

Middleswarth BBQ potato chips is another snack food I really miss. Can’t get them here.
