Are you surprised the Rams haven’t officially announced their new coordinators @Rich_Hammond?

    Yes.

In the last 12 years, an NFC West team has made the Super Bowl 6 times – the same number as the other 3 divisions *combined*

It’s been the best division in football

FWIW, this is the first all-red Super Bowl. Before this, the closest uniform color schemes were Colts-Cowboys and Bills-Giants. Maybe I’m missing one.

Aaron Donald has been named PFF’s Defensive Player of the Year 4 times in 6 seasons.

    That’s absolutely absurd

In 2020, you’ll hear many versions of the #LARams aiming “to get back to the postseason.”

If they’re contenders, the real goal will be “to earn a bye.” 2012 Ravens remain the last Wild Card to reach the Super Bowl.

And in 4 of last 5 years, 13 wins were required for an NFC bye.

Scouting service Pro Football Focus (PFF), which evaluated 179 linebackers in the regular season, gave [Littleton] the highest tackle grade at his position with a 91.6. A 90.0 or higher is considered an elite grade, and Littleton was the only one to accomplish the feat among those who played at least 80 percent of their team’s defensive snaps.

The former University of Washington standout also played a pivotal role in coverage with nine pass breakups and two interceptions. PFF’s evaluation of him in that category also reinforced this, as his 82.2 coverage grade ranked ninth-highest at his position.

    den-the-coach

not easy for a Head Coach to lose a Super Bowl and come back win one, but it’s happened twice since the 70’s with Dick Vermeil coming back to win with the Rams after losing to the Raiders as Eagle Head Coach and then Bill Cowher did losing in 1995 to Dallas and coming back to win it in 2005 against Seattle. So just twice since 1978, when Tom Landry won one against the Broncos…And it happpened before with Landry losing to the Colts in 1971 and coming back to destroy Miami in 72 and then Shula does it in 73. If you stretch back into the 60’s, Don Shula lost his first Super Bowl as coach of the Colts, vs. the Jets.

Any details on how McVay and O’Connell will split duties?

Rich Hammond: Not in specific terms, but what I’m told is that the relationship will be similar to the one McVay and offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur had in 2017. LaFleur didn’t call plays then, and Kevin O’Connell will not call them with the Rams — McVay will retain those duties — but it’s fair to say O’Connell will be involved in the game-planning and will be in McVay’s ear (and vice versa) as a lookout from the coaches’ booth upstairs.

Kevin Demoff said the announcements about logo/color and the uniforms could be split into two. Said they’re trying to figure out the cadence of the offseason. Still conversations taking place.

The Rams will not host an international game this year. Still could be a visiting team but it doesn’t sound likely. Demoff said they probably wouldn’t “host” an international game in the first five years of SoFi Stadium.
