Final mock draft will be posted in the AM. And I have to admit, it’s hard to feel confident about any of the picks, including No. 1.

There are enough people around the league (who I trust) who don’t think Kyler Murray goes No. 1. It will be a fascinating 1st round.

Not ruling out the #Rams taking an offensive lineman at 31. But one thing to keep in mind: The staff has so much confidence in Aaron Kromer’s ability to identify and develop prospects. I’m pretty sure he’s pointed out a guy or two later in the draft he feels strongly about

Defensive linemen and linebackers were in the spotlight throughout the first round. There were 15 DL/LB selected Thursday, the most such first-round picks in the Common Draft Era (1967). That includes four of the Top 5 picks, and seven of the Top 10.

Rams make franchise history by sitting out 1st round for 3rd straight year

Worth noting heading into tonight’s rounds 2-3: Rams OC Shane Waldron flew to Oklahoma this week to workout Oklahoma St. RB Justice Hill. Rams scheduled to have 4 picks tonight. Rams, Browns, Texans, Titans, Broncos, Eagles, Cowboys amongst others attended Hill’s personal pro day

Multiple sources say the Dolphins are close to a deal for QB Josh Rosen, and that a deal may actually be tentatively done. Arizona would get pick No. 48 from Miami.

The staff has so much confidence in Aaron Kromer’s ability to identify and develop prospects.

If you line up the Rams last 3 good OL coaches–Hanifan, Boudreau, Kromer–there’s no doubt that all 3 had the ability to develop good prospects.

All 3 have long, very good track records with that.

What seems to set Kromer apart is that when it comes to drafting anyway, he is also able to identify good prospects.

That was just not always true of Hanifan and Boudreau. And btw from everything I have seen, the OL coach has a huge say in which linemen a team drafts. That has certainly been the case with the Rams.

Hanifan does have Pace but that was a no-brainer.

Boudreau was much better coaching up veterans. And veterans of all kinds too–big money free agents, cast-offs and other ronin.

Kromer seem like he can pick em in the draft, and coach em.

The #Rams did their homework on the running back prospects in this draft. It’ll be interesting if that results in a Day Two investment at that position.

    A lot of teams reaching.

This was a great Rams draft strategy … there is going to be some crazy value and opportunity for us today. 5 picks in day 2? I would have jumped for joy knowing that.

But really, a lot of reaches. I’m pretty stunned at some of them. Guys definitely got locked in on a player and are missing what’s going on.

The talk within the #Rams building was Les Snead might target the third round to stockpile.

The #Rams felt the group of prospects from the end of the 1st through the 3rd was pretty close in terms of talent. So it makes sense to stockpile.

Some recent 3rd rd picks by the #Rams: Trumaine Johnson, T.J. McDonald, Jamon Brown, John Johnson, Cooper Kupp, Joe Noteboom
