For you betting folks: The Rams have covered the spread once since Week 4. They’re 4-6-1 ATS this season. Will they cover 10 points on Sunday?

    from Rams Q&A: Vinny Bonsignore

I think in an ideal world, and through a mixture of schemes and line plays and alignment, [Wade] can get the pressure he needs from the four or five-man fronts without having to blitz much. Allowing the seven and six other guys to pass defend.

[Fowler]’s basically the starter at that position and with more snaps I believe the production will reflect it. Really thought he and Ebukam played well against K.C.

I think the Rams are feeling much better about Samson + Fowler + Franklin as their perimeter rush players. That doesn’t mean they are down on Obo. Just that the snaps might not be there

I honestly don’t think [Suh has] had the impact many had hoped. Could be the scheme. Could be the position. But it would be a huge benefit it he can crank it up a little bit.

By the way … about Sebastian Joseph-Day and him being on the 53-man roster but not seeing any action. Best way I can explain it, upon doing some poking around: Rams believe there is a future role for him so they didn’t/don’t want to risk losing him on waivers if they were to waive him to put him on the practice squad. If an injury were to occur they’d be comfortable playing him. But for now, just consider this year a redshirt season for him.

What’s the issue with the secondary?

A combination of a lot of things. Including playing a ton of great QB’s in a row. The new rules. Injuries. And keep in mind I don’t think it’s all been bad by any stretch. That said, I think getting Talib back will help settle things down and the Rams will be a little more consistent on the backend as a result

What’s the reason so much talent is struggling against the run?

Great question. There’s two things going on. First off, the Seahawks, who have 463ish yards rushing in two games against the Rams really skew the stats. They are just really, really good at running the ball and it’s the priority of their offense. Secondly, I think the Rams line has been guilty at times of trying to make individual plays and leaving their assigned gaps as a result. That’s created running space to exploit. If they can clean that up – and tackle better, especially early in games, I think you’ll see a lot of improvement

I think Everett is on the rise!!

They are capable of winning the whole thing. No doubt whatsoever. Just a matter of playing clean football in three playoff games and getting a handful of key stops defensively. That’s really what it boils down to because they are as good or better than any team they’ll face

It will still take a while before they’re universally embraced like the Lakers and Dodgers. But I’ll say this: The last few games at the Coliseum have been as electric as I can remember. The Vikings and Chiefs games were extraordinarily high fevered. To me, that’s a sign they are making an impact and the city is really taking notice

When you see and interact with McVay off camera, is he the same as when we see him in the public eye?

Yes. One of the best I’ve ever dealt with, and I’ve dealt with a bunch of them. Just a real person. Understands the big picture of what we do. Doesn’t take himself too seriously. Funny. Engaging.

For all the consternation about #LARams defeating KC 54-51, marking the demise of defensive football… exactly ONE team scored more than 35 points in Week 12 (Chargers).

NINE teams failed to reach 20.

Rest assured, what NO/KC/LA are doing remains very difficult.

People need to remember in @RGabriel4HOF era if QB threw it more than 30 times a game it meant you were losing

Broncos call up Hemingway: “Temarrick Hemingway is the latest tight end to get his shot with the Denver Broncos, who have lost three tight ends to season-ending injuries. The Broncos …promoted Hemingway from their practice squad Tuesday when they placed Jeff Heuerman on injured reserve.”

Reuben Foster has been arrested three times in 2018 and was suspended for two games to begin the NFL season.

Less than 72 hours after being arrested on domestic violence charges and waived, a team claimed him on waivers, possibly to have him play right away.

    Give me a break.
