What do you expect from the Rams after Boras replaces Cignetti?

Will the Rams start turning around?

Will it be about the same?

    Will things get worse?

I personally expect all the wheels to fall off, which pretty much has happened already, so I guess no change.

It’ll be interesting to see if this offense looks the same.

    I mean–what would that say?

We should see something different, I guess–but what? And will it be any more effective?

My guess–and it’s only a guess–is that we will see more running–even if it means 3 and outs.

I don’t think Fisher likes Gurley getting 8 or 9 carries a game.

    But…we shall see.

That’s the one consistency of this offense. They’ve consistently been the 3 and out offense. Horrible offense.

It’s hard to say what the change will be because they went from one first-time coordinator to another first-time coordinator. Plus of course in terms of the offensive system they couldn’t possibly tweak THAT during the season.

However, one change ought to be in individual play, because one point of firing a coordinator during the season is to send a shock through the team.

One thing that bothers me is that Boras was the tight ends guy and they have not looked too great this year–particularly, you-know-who. Cook’s blocking is abysmal. I just slowed down a play they ran against the Cards on what should have been Gurley running to the outside. Both tight ends don’t block anyone on the play.

    ANYONE!

And they have to make the key blocks. Cook literally runs past them.

Did he think he was going out for a pass?

Boras did not straighten out that situation.

This feels more like a “somebody has to fall on the sword” move than an actual attempt to upgrade the situation. I don’t think they can at this point. But…we’ll see.

    They’ve discarded Foles and Cignetti.

We’ll see if that’s enough to get to average or at least–not horrible.

I remember when the Giunta-Defense was so horrific that I couldn’t watch it.
It was about the same level as the Cignetti-Offense.
And Martzy got desperate and brought in Bud Carson — the legend. As i recall
the legend didn’t do any good.

Maybe Boras will fare better. All things are Possible. Long Live Boras.

Well, I think there was a wee bit of improvement with Carson, but nothing significant.

Man, Bud Carson did NOT think highly of Kevin Carter.

Well, Boras the Bold, will make mince-meat out of this league.
He will burn this league like a sausage in a refinery fire,
he will make this league sit up like dark clouds on a stormy night
and rue the day the heard the name…Boras……sorry….I’m

Boras…now THAT’s a name. It would be a good name for a gladiator.

I think his name alone is good for an extra TD or two a game.

And ya gotta’ like the cut of his jib.

Now that’s the look of a guy who’s mission in life is to ‘by Gawd get things done!”

He’s here to chew bubblegum and kick ass and he’s all outta’ bubblegum.

Boras is probably pissed that he was given the job. Now his name will be forever linked with that crapfest of an offense too.

Horas to offense: “Come on, men let’s finish this season like your career depends on it! Show the world that you can do better, that you didn’t get TWO coordinators fired. …Uh, not you, Todd, this season’s most.”

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horus
Horus is one of the most significant deities in ancient Egyptian religion, who was worshipped from at least the late Predynastic period through to Greco-Roman times. Different forms of Horus are recorded in history and these are treated as distinct gods by Egypt specialists.[1] These various forms may possibly be different perceptions of the same multi-layered deity in which certain attributes or syncretic relationships are emphasized, not necessarily in opposition but complementary to one another, consistent with how the Ancient Egyptians viewed the multiple facets of reality.[2] He was most often depicted as a falcon, most likely a lanner or peregrine, or as a man with a falcon head.[3]
