    According to CBS:

    I think the Rams need a kicker and help at LB. And depth.

    Still, as CBS observes, they also should be thinking about the impact of Cam Akers’ impending FA.

    yes. losing cam akers has to be at the top of the list of concerns for the rams…

     

    and then after that i’d put a left tackle, edge defender.  yeah. kicker would be nice. a defensive lineman. defensive back if they’re going to lose fuller and jj.

     

    but i think we can all agree losing akers will have huge implications if he can’t be replaced.

    This will be of course a defining issue that determines what the Rams can, should, and might be. I expect a divisive issue like this one to drive the entire off-season discussion.

    The Rams showed better than expected in 2023, and to put it mildly, Akers did nothing to impede that.

    People just don’t talk about Akers’s contribution to the Rams in 2023 which just shows that obviously, it goes without saying.

    It’s just amazing how bad national media is.

    Back in the day, back when God created the internet on the 8th or 9th day of Creation, we had Jim Thomas, Bernie Miklasz, and Randy Karraker. And now we have Jourdan Rodrigue and a couple of others, and the national media just soldiers on, repackaging whatever Terry Bradshaw’s and Jimmy Johnson’s writers put down on sticky notes for them. And then everybody else just echoes it.

    Whatever. Thank god we have these boards to share actual information.

    Okay. Don’t hate me. But…if we’re going to just…open up, and be honest here?…I think the Rams should just part ways with Akers. Soon. Very soon.

    Probably should have done it already.

    But in our wildest dreams, do we imagine them having a replacement for Akers on hand and ready?

    I suppose they can always just re-sign Todd Gurley.
