Like everyone else I am assuming AW retires, which means they have to sign Noteboom. LOT is just not a position you gamble with. In terms of the contract, he won’t come cheap. It is true that he does not have a lot of starting experience, but still, just given contract dynamics at the position, he will get something near the going rate for FA 2nd contracts at LOT. Finding a good LOT is like finding a qb–there just aren’t enough bodies to go around–so most likely they will have to pay (maybe as high as 20 M). They will be doing that at the same time they will be extending Stafford.

That’s why I tend to doubt they will have much money to work with.

My idea for what this team needs, a future at LT, hopefully get a cheap vet. Noteboom, doesn’t have a history of durability issues.

Alaric Jackson, I predict, is the future at ROT. One player, I do have in mind, as a future LOT. if we draft him, in Kellen Diesch of Arizona State, he is someone that we may drop to us in the 4th round. I feel he could kick inside, at Guard to start, while grooming him, to be the future LOT. I am a big fan of Nick Ford of Utah as well. He has played Center the past two years.  But he can play Guard as well.

I did this Rams mock from the draft simulator
    https://thedraftnetwork.com/mock-draft-machine

    103. Channing Tindall LB Georgia
    141. Kellen Diesch OT Arizona State
    174. Isaac Taylor-Stuart CB USC
    209. Brittain Brown RB UCLA
    210. Nick Ford OC/OG Utah
    212. Quentin Lake S UCLA
    235. Avery Roberts LB Oregon State
    250. De’Jahn Warren CB Jackson State

There are two possible cap casaulties for us, Tyler Higbee & A’Shawn Robinson. If correct, it would save the team over $11M in cap savings, along with Whit retiring, if correct, saves us another $16M on top. That means, signing both OBJ, and Von Miller back.

I believe the 9ers will release Defensive End, Dee Ford as a casualty, which we hopefully can sign him to a 1 year vet minimum deal. In hopes to win a Super Bowl. And hopefully a big splash free agent, in Inside Linebacker, Dont’a Hightower.
