Well, Davis clearly had a case of the nerves early on and then at the end, where he threw to the wrong spot. That’s twice now he didn’t make it work in comeback time. I will say he has arrived when he DOES make it work in comeback time.
Say what you will about Bradford—people have lots of opinions on that—but he was getting comeback wins, not near-wins. (in fact he had 5 in 2012/2013 combined).
BUT in spite of starting skittish (early in the game) and ending skittish (on the final play), Davis did very well in that long series of 2 minute drills in the 3rd and 4th quarters. That counts very heavily.
Is the “comeback” thing a product of experience? It really could be, I dunno, so maybe he will start getting them.
