This Rams team is so unpredictable. I thought they were going to come in and roll.

Rams fans, you have plenty of reason to be upset. Dallas looks like a team fighting for the playoffs. I think we all expected the same type of urgency — if not more — from the Rams.

We’ll get into it more later, but two things will immediately stand out: 1) Dallas’ physicality up front and how the Rams’ defense did not look ready for it, and 2) a questionable game plan, pass-happy in 11 personnel (and bad execution).

#Cowboys deserve credit for coming out with a solid plan to stop the run and punish the #LARams defense. Let’s be honest about that too. It’s easy to blame the #Rams here, but the #Cowboys came ready and their lead is well-deserved….as much as that makes us want to gag.

Sean McVay, on how the Rams will remain motivated for remainder of season, if playoffs are out of reach: “It’s all about character. Whether we have a chance to get in or not, or what kind of things have to occur, I think you’ve got a lot of prideful guys in that locker room.”

Rams TE Tyler Higbee has 334 receiving yards over the last three games, that’s more than he had in each of the last two SEASONS (295 yards in 2017 and 292 yards in 2018).

Granted Dallas was nursing a big lead with the run all day, but Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and Randall Cobb combined for 3 catches, 22 yards and zero touchdown on 7 targets today. Brutal for fantasy.

It’s painful with this amount of talent squandered. Reminds me of the 2000 Rams….sloppiness and wild inconsistency

PFF ReFocused: Dallas Cowboys 44, Los Angeles Rams 21

    https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-week-15-pff-refocused-dallas-cowboys-44-los-angeles-rams-21

    LOS ANGELES RAMS

Nothing positive can be drawn from the Los Angeles offense today — Jared Goff was wildly inaccurate and Todd Gurley II appeared lost on targeted passes. Finally, the offensive line was systematically dismantled by a fierce Dallas defensive line.

If we could equate the number of targeted passes to performance, Tyler Higbee would be the top tight end in the league. Jared Goff peppered the former Hilltopper with checkdown after checkdown. While Higbee will be the box score darling who propels fantasy owners in the playoffs, the empty statistics provided next to nothing for the Rams in real life.

The Rams’ linebackers continued to struggle, and this week it was both in coverage and against the run. The Cowboys’ tight ends had a field day in the passing game, and several Rams linebackers missed tackles on run plays.

The Dallas offensive line is a tough test, and the Rams just weren’t up for it. The defensive line struggled to shed blocks in time for stops on run plays, and everyone — including Aaron Donald — failed to offer consistent pressure when Dak Prescott dropped back to pass.
