I liked what I saw today.

The snap bouncing off his chest and the strip for a TD, not so much. But the rest? Yup.

I believe it was WV who was wondering out loud a while back if Foles had “it”. That ability to suffer a setback or two, leaving him staring into a potential loss late in the game. And, despite what the situation looked liked, having the ability to lead the team down the field for a score.

Can’t say after 1 game that Foles does indeed have ” it”, but I will say that it felt pretty good to watch what happened today, particularly after watching games get lost time and again in past history.

He showed the same stuff last year.

In the off-season, since the trade, I often wondered aloud if he were a gamer. Clutch guy. He has shown signs of it before.

Well, could be. Looks like it.

He had a couple of bad passes. Just flat out missed throws.

But then he did things like stick it to Bailey with Sherman and a safety all over him.

And lead a TD drive in the last minute.

    I will take it.

TA had Sherman beat but had to hold up to wait for the ball. It was clearly PI.TA’s routes are better and he’s getting open ,becoming a complete wr. Did Givens even play ?

Yes. That was Earl Thomas. And Richard Sherman. And they were both “right there”.
Great great pass. Clutch, tough catch.

It bodes well for the future.
    Really does.

It had gotten to a point in recent years that I used to hope that they could complete a pass to keep a drive alive, and if they did, I was always amazed. Just. completing. a. pass.

Something felt different today. I think I saw enough good to allow me to expect the drives to keep moving forward.

Well then, bring on the Washingtonians.
