    here are football outsiders drive stats for the 2018 season at the midway point.

    rams are ranked first in net yards per drive, net points per drive, and net drive success rate.

    needless to say that’s pretty darn good.

    so going back to 1993 these are the teams that were able to accomplish that over an entire season.

    2016 – new england (won sb championship)
    2013 – denver (lost sb championship)
    2007 – new england (lost sb championship)
    2005 – indianapolis (lost divisional round)
    2001 – st louis (i can’t even bring myself to say it)
    1999 – st louis (won sb championship)
    1997 – denver (won sb championship)
    1996 – green bay (won sb championship)
    1995 – san francisco (lost divisional round)
    1994 – san francisco (won sb championship)
    1993 – san francisco (lost conference championship)

    so over a 25 year span, 11 teams were able to place first in all three categories. of those 11 teams, 5 won the superbowl and 8 total made the superbowl.

    hmmm… so far from a guarantee. oh well.
