This kid…HS running back coming into LSU as a Freshman… is being talked about by grown men in all seriousness using comparisons like Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson, Adrian Peterson… and Michael Jordan.

    Leornard Fournette.

The dood runs away from people. He runs OVER people. From the video, you can see he’s got SOME of what draws the comparisons… wiggle to evade, balance and strength to run through tackles, speed to run away, quick feet to make defenders slow down. He can chop step OR long stride and for someone who looks pretty big, he gets through the gears awfully fast. He doesn’t look like a 4.3 guy to me, but once he’s got some time at LSU under his belt, I can see him getting solidly into the low 4.4 and much stronger.

I have to say, I’ve NEVER seen upperclassmen genuflect for a freshman and anoint him like is happening with this kid…and CERTAINLY not a position not a QB. Even after going through the six weeks of padless practices, the defense is in awe and are only hoping they can corral him once the pads come on.

If he is the phenom that LSU seems to think they have, then we’re going to see someone truly special in college football this year…

What surprises me is how easily he runs through the tackles of LBs and DL. Even at the HS level, that’s not supposed to be THAT easy… They just can’t seem to wrap him up.
