    and i hope to god i’m wrong.

    i worry that he burns out. the guys is so tightly wound up.

    in some ways, he reminds me of vermeil. he just cares so much. maybe too much?

    we’ll see. but i think he needs to learn to relax a little bit.

    My thoughts exactly. Madden, 10 years. McVay has the makings of that. (I think Madden more than DV but it’s the same general idea.)

    Seriously, what more can you ask? You want McVay to put in 30 years at this job like it’s a deskjob at State Farm or something?

    If you tell me we have a passionate McVay until 2027, I will sign on that line right now.

    Me too. It’s just a question of having realistic expectations regarding McVay and his career.

    I expect 40 years of consistent Super Bowl contention. I would think a championship every second or third year would be reasonable, right?

    exactly. i don’t think we’re asking for too much.
