    Your thoughts are most welcome.

    Starting things off, here’s my take. Yeah, the MSM is all too often lame, engages in sins of omission, leaves out context, narrow-casts . . . but, it’s still essential. Why? Because it has the resources and the access no other part of the media-sphere has, and it brings us the daily Tick-Tock happenings we’d miss otherwise.

    IMO, leftists who avoid it miss out on what actually happens, daily, in Washington, especially under a regime like Trump’s. Especially under a president who makes it all about him, and gives us new outrages to process just about 24/7, and sometimes minute to minute.

    And while Print journalism is generally superior, TV and radio are also required, IMO, because they give us the unfiltered words of our “leaders.” Can’t spin that. It’s on tape, etc.

    To try to wrap this up for now: If we settle for just commentary about DC, even from fellow leftists with audiences, we have to rely on their own selections of what to discuss, and what to leave out. And the tendency seems to have been, in some corners, to focus not on Trump and the GOP, but on the Dems. That can’t help but skew reality beyond the “normal” skewing.

    It needs to be a both/and thing. Not either/or.
