    You’re in luck, cuz the grains that contain gluten (wheat, barley, oats, etc) are all non-GMO.

    I have always found – it’s cliche, but I have to say it – beans work better. If you’re trying to attract attention, gluten doesn’t work. It’s beans, man.

    Well, my own view is:
    1) We need more legit-studies, and
    2) Peepulz need to fine tune their own diets, and experiment on themselves, and over a course of years/decades slowly figure out what works for them. It might be Paleo, it might be Vegan, it might be cannibalism, whatever. Lots of healthy humans eat all kinds of different diets, it would seem.

    I stopped my vegetarianism project a while back, btw, fwiw. I do a relatively-low-carb, low-sugar thing now.
    I feel/am stronger than when i was on a plant-diet, but i do feel bad about eating animals. I dont think i will ever quite come to terms with eating animals. I just dont really know how to justify it. Ah well.

    I feel the same way about killing animals.

    I try to eat less meat, but I can’t give it up completely.

    I tried that plant-based Impossible Whopper the other day. I can’t tell the difference between it and a regular ‘meat’ Whopper. Both sucked (not a fan of Burger King), but it gave me hope that used in different applications, it might be ok.

    Right now the Impossible burger is only sold in restaurants, but it’s going to be available in supermarkets starting in September.

    And, lab-grown meat could be affordable soon…

    I spent the off season dropping 75 lbs. About the first 40 came off eating a lot of pancakes full of gluten.I tried going meat free for a while but I just don’t do well on that diet.Maybe because I’ve spent much of my life hunting and fishing . Yes animal killer here but I hunt and fish for meat not trophies . I don’t do much of either anymore so I eat grass fed beef which is less harmful to the planet than most of corporate farming of plant based diets going on and because it’s locally produced the carbon footprint is a lot less. Whatever diet works for your body the single most beneficial thing I learned is fasting. It’s so effective it’s like magic and it’s free doesn’t cost a thing.

    That’s quite an accomplishment!

    I grew up fishing too (not so much hunting though my father was an avid hunter growing up). It puts the “meat” question in a different perspective. I can see cutting way back on beef (and basically I already have) but I can’t go a week without eating some seafood.

    I make sure to eat some sardines in the meal before a fast. You need those Omega 3s and just a small tin is enough to quell my seafood cravings.
