Here’s a candidate for least popular tweet of the day: I think the Seahawks are going to the playoffs.Lindsey Thiry@LindseyThiry
The Seahawks defeated the Panthers on Sunday, so the Rams miss out on becoming the first team since the NFL expanded to 32 teams in 2002 to clinch a division on a bye week. The Rams can now clinch in Week 13 with a victory over the Detroit Lions or a 49ers defeat over the Seahawks.==

Philip Rivers has the most wins (114), completions (4,410), attempts (6,836), pass yards (53,467), and pass TD (368) among QBs to never make a Super Bowl appearance. Is this the year Rivers and the #Chargers get to the big game?

Aaron Rodgers is now 0-37 when trailing by more than one point in the 4th quarter to a team with a winning record. That’s a real stat. #GBvsMIN #SNF #Packers #VikingsAndy Benoit@Andy_Benoit
no team will enter 2019 with fewer needs to address than the Chicago Bears. GM Ryan Pace has done an incredible job.November 26, 2018 at 10:18 pm #94495zn

There have been 9 games this season that a team has allowed 500+ total yards in a game and still won. That is the most such games in a single-season in the Super Bowl era.

The first @RamsNFL WR with three consecutive 100-yard receiving games since Isaac Bruce in 2004: @brandincooksGreg Beacham@gregbeacham
Aqib Talib on his 1st year with Aaron Donald: “Up close & personal, man, it’s different. You see all those pressures @PFF have for him and I’m like, ‘He ain’t getting all them pressures for real.’ But to see him on the field live, he’s getting every pressure they list. It’s real”J.B. Long@JB_Long
Does the NFC West have an Aaron Donald problem? Yes.So why in the last four Drafts have the #LARams division rivals combined to select just 11 centers and guards? Of them, only four are still active in the NFC West, and only one is currently starting.
[Note, me: to be fair, SF signed Fluker and SF signed Tomlinson. In fact, given the problem they face, signing a veteran FA makes more sense than drafting a rookie.]

Yeah it’s not true though. Seen that stat before, it circulates. But this year in their opening game GB came from behind to beat the Bears, who have a winning record.
The old stat was that it was 35 games, but that was before this year.
I don;t know why whoever wrote that forgot about the Chicago game.

So…what are you saying? That Rodgers is 1-37 when trailing in the 4th by 2 or more points to a team with a winning record?
That’s…that’s…that’s what I’d expect from…from Tony Banks. From Colt McCoy. From JaMarcus Russell. I have a hard time believing this.

ModeratorHe’s not a comeback king, numbers aside. He has a fairly low percentage of wins in comeback situations, and yes it has come up before, from a real and reputable source, that before this year anyway he had no comeback wins against winning teams.
The 0-37 number doesn’t work but in previous years the number was given as 0-35. That’s from here, and this is an actual source (it’s from 2016) (scroll down it’s in there). The writer is Scott Kacsmar of Football Outsiders, and he’s a known quantity and reliable:
Packers are 0-35 with Aaron Rodgers at QB when trailing by more than one point in the fourth quarter against a team with a winning record.
2016 NFL Conference Championship Predictions
.
But the 0-37 in 2018 number is wrong because, as I said, of the Bears game.

Did Chicago have a winning record at the time Rodgers beat them?
I’ve seen the stat presented with the caveat, ‘at the time Rodgers played them”…meaning the stat only includes teams that had winning records at the time he played them. It doesn’t include teams that had a winning record sometime before or after Rodgers played them.

That could be but it’s cheating IMO, since the Pack played the Bears in week 1.
