I think they should just pass completely on the whole draft.

Just be smug about it. Ya know.

We already GOT the dream-team. We dont need no stinkin college players.

And I dont think they need to play eleven players on defense, either. Eight, maybe.

Rams coach Sean McVay was asked at a press conference today whether it was hard to part with the No. 23 overall pick for WR Brandin Cooks. “If you told me I’d be getting that player at 23, I’d be throwing a pool party. And I don’t even have a pool.”

Les Snead says the Rams spoke to Todd Gurley and Marcus Peters this morning about exercising their fifth-year options.

Todd Gurley was a no brainer. Snead says the Rams hope to have a long relationship with Peters.

#LARams GM Les Snead opens up the team’s Pre-Draft conference by alluding to the different approach in this year’s Draft — “Yes it is different…We draft in the third round, not the first. But the preparation is the same.”

McVay says of Marcus Peters: “Couldn’t be more impressed with the attention to detail in the meetings … He’s doing all the little things the right way right now.”

Confirmed…Gurley would come in at $9.63 million and Peters at $9.069 million for 2019. They still can work out new deals.

Rodger Saffold is scheduled to announce the Rams’ third-round pick Friday on site in Dallas. Rams will announce their final-day picks Saturday from the construction site in Inglewood.

“And then in the week and a half now that we’ve been around Marcus, I couldn’t be more impressed with just his attention to detail in the meetings…. You can see this is a guy who loves football.”

Snead hints it may be possible to move into the late 60s or 70s, paints a bigger move into the first or second as tougher.

Sean McVay on the Rams picking up Todd Gurley’s fifth-year option: “I feel very fortunate to have had a year working with Todd. I continue to come away impressed with just the consistency at which he approaches each day.”
